Speaking as someone who makes beats and has for six years, this is just wrong. There are a lot of rap tunes in the top 40 that have pretty crappy instrumentals, but 50 Cent isn't one of them. He's got excellent production. Here's one of his songs sans vocals: It's not terribly complex, no, but being technical is not the same thing as being good.
Then it turns shit with the wannabe rapper trying to spit some licks with the mircale whip. Look ma I can rap.:)
Then it turns shit with the wannabe rapper trying to spit some licks with the mircale whip. Look ma I can rap.:)
No, you can't. And when has "wannabe" become an all-purpose insult? Do you know what wannabe means?
By the looks of his smartness, he can't spell either.
No, you can't. And when has "wannabe" become an all-purpose insult? Do you know what wannabe means?
Well logically it means somebody who tries but fails, or somebody who doesn't quite get what they are trying to do. So while the effort is commendable, the failure is grounds for criticism. Although I have a feeling that in rap it has a different meaning.
I think it means they 'Want-to-be' :v:
Because if you don't listen to Rap, people think you are a reciest. Metal is beter.
Generalisation overload, captain.
Captain Generalization?
I swear I heard a rap song, in which the musical portion was just two notes being played behind a simple beat.
Sounds like Go Girl by Pitbull. That shit wreaks bad.

If you like that kind of music.
Isn't country from the west and Texas and those areas though? A better ironic statement would be "if you listen to blues, you are cast out of society as a retard". Also, most country these days sucks anyways, old country was the shit, now it doesn't seem to stand up.
Alabama has not been involved with the blues since. Ever. And I mean, never. Most people don't even know what real blues is. Mainly because it's Negro music. Now bluegrass on the other hand...
I remember hearing about how these "mothers" tried to censor metal, and how Dee Snider destroyed their futile attempt with a little piece of paper...
Rap is great--sure, it's the most hated genre on the internet, but the internet is primarily populated by socially ostracized splinter groups from Western youth culture. So it's not an accurate sampling of the population. And most adults have better things to do than complain about hating kinds of music, like working and paying bills and supporting their families.
well, i like rap, but heres what i DON'T like. the rap of today is just horrible, and i mean the popular music. old rap is just great! the less popular stuff that's out today i like too.
First of all, it's 'superman dat hoe', and I believe it is accomplished by ejaculating on a girl's back and then putting the sheet on her back so she is effectively wearing a makeshift cape. Your semen should act as some sort of adhesive I guess. The more you know.
According to soulja boy, he just means the dance.
Yeah, I don't understand that fact either. That and I just don't like rap music because they're just gramatically incorrect...idiot's is the only way I can put it nicely. All rappers do is sing into the microphone about either A)Sex, B)Getting high, C)Going to a club, or BC)Getting high in a club. While hardcore and screamo requires such a master of the vocal chords but does not sell any records.

There is rarely a situation is which you can say all _____ music is ______.

I think we all just got trolled.
But _____ music really is _____! [/bad joke]
Does that count as trolling? I hope not...
Did you just say Negro music? Did you fight in WWII by any chance?
Maybe it is because he lives in Alabama?

*too lazy to read three pages, only read a few posts of the 1st page, so if this isn't relevant anymore, just ignore it* So. What's the point in ranting about how Metal and Rap is hated? Just listen to whatever the hell you like and don't give a shit about what others say about it. If you like it and others don't, well, fuck them! Everyone's different, not everyone has the same tastes or opinions. At school, I pretty much get discriminated by all my classmates just 'cause I listen to Metal and because I wear camo-pants and metalband shirts (I also listen to other genre's though, even to non-mainstream rap sometimes). And they all listen to hip hop and gangsta rap. Yet, I don't give a damn what they say about me. All I need, is my own music and my own small band of friends that either listen to the same music genre or respect me for what I am. The ones who don't, I don't give a damn about. Because I know they don't give a damn about me either :)
Like I said: Everyone just chill the fuck out.
You used n-word =D
I dislike how the OP generalizes every sub genre by calling it "Metal". Also, most people enjoy both from where I'm from (Center City area). I dislike "Metal" like metallica with a passion, anything that doesn't have people screaming and shouting and growling so much that their organs pour out of their throats doesn't interest me. I enjoy rap.

In my opinion rap is just some person speaking over a crappy drum beat, :v:
Did you just say Negro music? Did you fight in WWII by any chance?
You'd be surprised how much racism there is in Alabama still.
Because rap is good while metal is not.
