I don't want to convince you really I just wanted to do what most chavs do
Say people are idiots because they don't listen to the same music they do.
Maybe that should have been on the same line. I'm not the greatest at grammar but still, you knew what I meant but felt the need to get a quick shot in.
Like a internet version of a chav.
It means the same thing with the second line
"I know what I said was wrong and ignorant, I just wanted to be like a chav"
Going down to their level bashing music, not breaking in houses.
I know I'm stereotyping chavs but I couldn't give a flying shit.
Why is this so hard? If you DON'T LIKE CHAVS why are you trying to "GO DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL" i.e. ACT LIKE THEM
Maybe it's different where I come from, but around here if we don't like someone because of how they act, we try NOT to act like them
Yeah because how I act on a forum is the same as how I act in the real world.
It's a quick post just taking the piss really, bashing rap, a lot harmless than me going around 'beating' people up because they like metal or dress in black.
Just like in the real world, chavs piss around with people who don't like metal
Just like on the internet, people like you try and get little zings in instead of seeing my post and thinking "Oh he's just being ignorant I'll just ignore him"
So wait, you're trying to troll the thread or what

They have a word for that....
...

...
Oh yea, trolling.
I believe he is
Pointing out that chavs bash music and then doing that same thing on forum isn't trolling. I'm doing the same thing they do
Look for a ban reason all you want but rap will always be some person speaking over a beat.
Hey wait, isn't that the same as someone saying metal is just some idiot screaming?
Are they trolling?
Edit:
Oh people get over it already.
Some people like rap.
Some people like metal.
IT'S JUST A MATTER OF PERSONAL TASTE.
I personally like metal. So what if you rap fans don't like it. Then go listen rap. I hate rap. But I don't want to start a flame war.
Everybody listens whatever they like. /thread
Okay so are some people who like rap still allowed to go beat up innocent people because they like metal? Seems fair.
Hey wait, isn't that the same as someone saying metal is just some idiot screaming?

If they know it's not true and they say it anyway, yes they are. Otherwise they're just dumb.
I think what we're getting at here is you're acting like a preschooler. "He did it so I'm gonna do it too! So he knows what it FEELS like!" I'm assuming you're at least 13, surely you can pull yourself together a bit better than that.
I'm just being ignorant. I see a naughty child who likes rap and I link the two.
I still hate the fact that some rap songs are written up by someone else with a beat anyone could make and It's instantly made shit loads of money. Then some metal that takes a lot of skill to make gets unnoticed.

That is the way of all music. I have seen bands perform that blow most mainstream shit literally out of the water. That is the problem with the music industry, they regurgatate whatever will sell, and rarely bring anything new to the table.
Well I hate the fact that some metal songs are written up by someone else with a melody anyone could make and It's instantly made shit loads of money. Then some rap that takes a lot of skill to make gets unnoticed.
So there

Fair enough, I understand that.

I seemed to have missed that post and seeing as I finished school how does that make me 'at least 13' There's another cheap shot in because I bashed your precious rap.
I'm sure many people would like to get shots in at you or think you're 'about 13' but we can't because you have a louder voice than us on the forums.
Then again, If you can call me 13 then I can call you 13 also.
Here's a solution, mix the two!

I hate that people blindly stick to their preferred music, and debase everything else. I hate that people have to feel threatened or offended by something they don't like.
I hate elitists who think they're cool for liking bands that are supposedly obscure. What, just because no one else has heard of them, they're good? I beg to differ.
I hate that a lot of modern music features hatred, biggotry, objectifying women and cars as status symbols (seriously, a car is just a car), or people whining and feeling sorry for themselves.
I also hate labels. It's frustrating that people have to categorize things, including music. There are some bands that transcend any one genre.
Unfortunately, I myself am guilty of a few of these things. I'm working on bettering myself.
No one genre is better than another. Metal has it's bad bands, same as any other.
I personally can't stand rap; I find it offensive. That said, I liked ICP and Eminem, back in the day.
To me, a lot of modern metal (being ridiculously sub-divided) just sounds like retardedly fast double-bass, and someone screaming incoherently into the microphone.
Point being, everyone has their opinions. I think you all, and people in general, need to relax, take a step back, and stop concerning yourself with other peoples' music. Yes, it may be offensive. Get over it.

Edit: Also, Indie wins. :v:

Surprisingly id rather listen to rap or metal than both combined.
Then again, If you can call me 13 then I can call you 13 also.
Oh no please don't :(
What the fork are you guys still ranting about. Just give up, this battle will rage on for eternity. There'll always be indifferences among music genre's. Just leave eachother be, it'd be a waste of time (and database space) to continue this rant. It's just pointless.
The majority of people would rather listen to rap because rappers are clean, don't have long hair and they wear a lot of BLING BLING. The minority who listens to metal are usually known to smell bad, have long hair, be rude and be sad. I'm not saying EVERYONE is like that but that's what people think. Stereotypes, if you will.
These stereotype profiles are often incorrect and probably even made up. Most metal-listeners I know are pretty clean, they take good care of themselves and are upbeat. I don't know what's up with people these days. If you listen to dark music, then do you have a dark soul? No!
I have a dark soul!

Actually that steryotype is pretty old and dead. Metalheads are pretty much well respected, they have been made popular in my town by the fact most skaters listen to metal and punk.
Speaking as someone who makes beats and has for six years, this is just wrong. There are a lot of rap tunes in the top 40 that have pretty crappy instrumentals, but 50 Cent isn't one of them. He's got excellent production. Here's one of his songs sans vocals:

It's not terribly complex, no, but being technical is not the same thing as being good.
I'm not a big fan of 50 cent but I have to admit that sounds pretty good.

The original rap is alot better.

That actually sounds amazing.
What the fuck are you talking about
You assholes are constantly, incessantly fucking complaining about rap all the fucking time.
And you want me to convince myself that everyone who likes metal acts like you?
Your metal friends might have something to say about that, yes siree
Can I violate his butthole?

I'm not a fan of rap as such, but that sounds ace.
It's just all about tolerance.
