Yeah, he just ripped that right out of Cypherx which is a clear inspiration for his drawing style (which was validated with his "my inspirationwhatever" thing). They serve no purpose there as well making it even sillier.

I don't know what's up with these "bases" on DA, but they're ruining the site even more. Somebody draws something plain (usually horribly,) and other "artists" use the picture and simply recolor it to fit their own character's they've created. It's a terrible idea to begin with, but DA is encouraging this by making an entire category dedicated to bases. Ugh...
