I don't see how he has an anime-inspired artstyle at all.
It's rather that he has a comic-artstyle that is completely ripped off from all typical cartoons. He doesn't draw anything but super-standard expressions. There is no hint at originality in anything.

Well it's not entirely anime inspired, but I think some notable anime characteristics can be seen in his artstyle and especially his expressions are very typical to the chibi anime style.

No, I watch anime of all kinds and dislike that cute shit the most.
Your style for example, Detlef, is very clearly affected by anime. His style however looks very typical western cartoon.

The type of expressions are clear in both western and eastern comics. The way they are drawn are however very typical for western.
The first panel on the "my little pony" comic there is the only one I see that is like anime.
