I get the same when I don't just plaster "YAY! HERE'S A SPARKLY TROPHY .GIF!" and give a little nudge of criticism or even "It's not my thing, but it's definitely interesting" on flickr, people will get defensive, call you an idiot, or somehow take it as an insult despite it being a positive and helpful comment.
