Although anime is good for action, it is not good for this type of action.
I wish it was 3D like the new Star Wars show, but more detailed.
They don't capture the brutality and essence of the ODST. First of all, ODST are fucking huge. They are built like fucking mofo's. Second, they wouldn't be having that piss-poor conversation about "oh, I'm a better shot, hahahaa, etc." Fuck. Real ODST would start a fist fight over it, shit would be flying, and people would have gotten fucked up.
Any outsider that invades the ODST circle would be torn apart physically.
Also, the ODST don't particularly like the SPARTANS either because they feel they are invading into their line of duty.
Combat sequences were actually pretty fun to watch, but characters make me facepalm.

Seriously, GI Joe is the ultimate US Army patriotism propaganda cartoon and they let someone from Japan do it what the fuck. I've never been so disgusted.
I'd watch it if I had the time, but not something I'd eagerly rent, let alone buy. The real-life short looked so much better, and that ODST short/commercial was amazing as well. Should have gone with a film.
