They are making a real life "Alice in Wonderland" and it's some trippy shit.

Not another one, fuck. First they ruined Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and now this?
There already was a real life Alice in Wonderland, although the thread title insinuates otherwise.
Sounds like it's taking Alice in Wonderland and mashing it together with "The Looking Glass Wars"

I was referring to this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Wonderland_(1999_film)

I actually liked the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was just different and weird enough that it was thoroughly enjoyable for me.
ITT idiots dont know that tim burton's last good movie was ed wood
Thats an opinion.
When discussing entities that are fictitious there can be no right or wrong because they appeal to everyone in a different way. Such fiction can only be handled with opinions and agreements, really.
Hmm, this actually looks pretty interesting.
It'd be awesome if they made an American McGee's "Alice" movie, too.
I've never played the game, but it sounds fucked up. :v:

That is the best response to this picture. Ever.
The Mad Hatter is like a clown, I hate clowns.
I'm not sure if some people have realised it, but there is this film by Tom Burton starring of those famous people, and then there is "Alice" which is based on the video game.
The film this thread is about isn't based on the video game, this is "Alice in Wonderland"
Alice based on Alice (Game)
Alice in Wonderland based on Alice in Wonderland (Books)
that was a made-for-tv movie so it doesnt count
How does it not count? It's not like you can't rent it in movie form, and it was pretty damn awesome if you ask me.
Is this a horror film?
Is this a horror film?
If you consider LSD trips "horror".

From what I read of the description, this movie follows the plot of the video game; at least, more closely than it follows the plot - I use the term loosely - of the book/s.
I think this is based off the game, which if any of you haven't played you should because its 1. awesome and 2. really trippy fucked up shit.

I always thought the Red Queen was different to the Queen of Hearts :|
I'm going to smoke a few blunts right before I fucking see this shit it will be amazing
Tim Burton is the only person I'd trust with it.
I still don't understand people's obsession with Nightmare Before Christmas though.
Tim Burton / Johnny Depp. It couldn't possibly be anything other than pure win.
It's gonna be trippy as hell, but if Tim Burton is Directing it we can all guarantee it's gonna be good.
good to see it's based on the game, totally fit for a burton film.
I still love Tim Burton, regardless of what others say about his 'degrading talent'.
He is still a genius of vision who can make something aesthetically dark and twisted have intense emotion and humor.
I'm really excited about this. Love the actors, but I want photos of Alan Rickman and Stephen Fry. They are both my favourite actors ever!
i don't think it's that his talent is degrading, it's that the rarity and uncommonness is waring off as he's done so many movies, and they all really have his similar style, so it's not nearly as unique and strange. not to mention other directors and producers are and always have been copying his style, aiding in the relieving of uniqueness. when more people do something, something like Tim Burton's gothy twisted sets and character designs, it becomes more of a fad than an art, unfortunately.
I myself still absolutely love Tim Burton's films, be it directed by or produced by (in exception of the first Joel Schumaker batman, but he was a loose producer so it's somewhat excusable), and I always will.
I've never understood Burtons insatiable boner for Johnny Depp. He's an above average actor, but variety is the spice of life.
I'm getting bored of depp.
i'm perplexed by your statements. it seems to you that he lacks variety, but it's because of his abilities to play so many weird as fuck roles that Burton loves Johnny Depp
[editline]10:31AM[/editline]
i mean really
Sleepy Hollow
Edward Scissorhands
Sweeney Todd
Ed Wood
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
and those are just the Burton films where Johnny Depp plays an odd role
