I shit you not, I wanted a Bat Mobile really fucking badly because Batman was my idol back then.

They had like a 3 pack Cyborg Alien (Yellow, Green, and Red colors) set where you could switch stuff on them, but I totally forgot what they were called. Those ones were badass.

Also, if you dropped Gak on your living room carpet, you were FUCKED aswell.

I did get a Sega Genesis but much later at the age of 17 years-old, but never got one as a kid while asking for it to my parents (asked for one for three years or so), wasn't a kid anymore when I got one though, I bought it mostly due to nostalgia (already at that point), I got it second-hand with a bunch of games and accessories at a very low price, then it ceased to work about three years later, then I bought another second-hand, happened to be the original model and it still works fine to this day. The Game Gear is the one I never got at all, lost interest later, but as a kid I went nuts when I did get the chance to play it at my friends' or my cousin's (my cousin had all Sega stuff, and his parents had more money than mine).

At least I got a NES and SNES, although with only a few games, never owned above ten games for any Consoles as a kid, my parents didn't like video games much, that was a classic back in the days, perhaps still today, and they rarely accepted my requests for new games because they thought that the games were "included" in the "machine", they knew nothing about how it worked and they never cared, they simply bought a NES and SNES and thought I'd be ok with that, so I rented a lot of games, and eventually my father understood and realized that the number of games I rented and how much he paid at the end of a year of games renting represented the purchase of at least four or five brand new games, heh, but I don't have any grudge about that nor themselves after those years, I understand now that they didn't understand back then, it's fine, I went outside often too and played hockey with my friends, I had a rather fine childhood in fact, and most other things I asked I got them eventually, although I myself rarely asked anything, not sure why, I honestly think it's because I was probably happy with what I got, mostly anyway.
