It depends how close to the lake district it would be, if it's anywhere IN the lake district I could just get a bus.
gay
I vote Manchester somewhere.
I could easily get to the centre of manchester as its just a short train ride. The only problem is that I'm incredibly lazy :v:

Yeah but where
cannot be somewhere that is swamped by traffic or I'll never make it
I'll probably use a train/bus so if the bus never arrives you'll never see me
Manchester? No consideration for the Scouse that would like to go? I'll pass unless you get a better location, like New Brighton or something.
City stadium? lol

Go to the trafford centre, that's a great place.
Actually Manchester wouldn't be too bad, it's still perfectly easy for me to get a train there.

Actually yeah this could work
I can get one bus straight to the centre from my bus station.

too packed, especially in summer. went the other week.
or if lots of people suggest this, i guess so :v:
manchester's not north, it's in the middle.
That depends what time people have half-term holidays and what not. Then again that'd mean only school folk could visit. It's like a ghost town during half-term in there.

It's the closest place of any interest for people in the lake district.
Edit:
Actually, there is Carlisle, but the trip there is fucking horrifying. You'll get travel sick without a doubt regardless.
i live near Carlisle
Yeah just checked the bus shit myself
could definately make the Trafford Centre via bus unless some cunt punts the bus off of the bridge into the sewage works on the other side of the river to the ski centre
manchester would be a better place for a meet though as there actually is stuff to do
actually if this is in mid-august i might be down for it
fp'ers walking around the trafford centre
