I haven't really listened to vaporwave until now. I always treated it like an ironic thing (it was) using chopped up slow-downed funk, sometimes with compressed sound bits haphazardly to mix things up a bit.
I treated it like the video guy in the OP but now listening to Macross, sounds chill.
Shit this stuff is good.

Fashion is cyclic. Mostly because one generation taking hold of a large percentage of media production as the last gen phases out. People tend to produce stuff they grew up with. Now we have 80s/90s kids incorporating modern aesthetics with old.
Vaporwave kind of pisses me off because it looks extremely easy and lazy to do.

Nah. Cyberpunk is darker, focused more on the sc-fi stylistics of stuff like 80's films and TV shows, while Vaporwave is more new age-y and more connected to stuff like 90's internet graphics and early digital graphic design stuff.
But arguably, Vaporwave is kinda an offshoot of Cyberpunk.

i think soundcloud has a limit of the amount of time of music you can have uploaded at once unless you pay 135$ a year

Really? Welp, that's just silly. Only being able to upload x amount of music at a time I'd understand, but total? That's just like the favourites limit in Youtube when you don't have enough subscribers.

The word aesthetic is getting tossed around a lot, but Vaporwave art really does have a style that always looks really appealing. Cyan and pink colours go together really well too.

I found out about Vaporwave from music used on one of DEElekogolo's videos and tons of it popped up in the related videos section, and it's probably the best thing to ever happen to my music library.
I wish I could like this kind of music, but I just can't get into it. I love the album artwork though.

Also the vaporwave subreddit has created a website that is an archive of vaporwave music. Majority of it was free releases but I saw a couple paid ones (like $1), I don't want to link the site cause I don't want to get banned for Warez.
