If it was joke, it wasn't all that funny and it makes him seem more like an edgelord if anything.

Weirdly enough and kinda sadly, Rudy was a completely functional and normal poster before fallout 4, he even made the op we're currently using and was pretty hyped for the game, but I guess it was too much of a letdown for him or something and it made him into the poster he is nowadays.

If a game not being as good as what you thought it would be is enough to turn you into a repugnant and aggressive asshole, then you need to talk to someone because that is not a normal reaction.

Undertale ruined Rusty's life too, so this isn't a new thing. A video game is released and it's so bad it ruins someones life, literally. he was a great guy who had straight A+'s across the board, and then he became an alcoholic meth addict ever since Undertale was released and lost his job really, the real victim here is Rudy. Todd Howard deserves to pay.

HybridTheroy, TurtleeyFP, ignoring harassment isn't a universal solution. If it was that easy to get rid of assholes, they'd never pose an issue. It usually only works against a very specific type of harasser that's not personally interested in you and just wants to get a "casual" kick out of making someone, anyone mad for a while. I haven't seen it working at all in scenarios where people really hone in on you. That's more likely to just make you their personal go-to punching bag. They know you'll just shut up and take their abuse. In some cases it also feeds into the dehumanization effect that the internet creates by having to portray people through avatars and pseudonyms and text lines, which may reduce empathetic behavior and increase irresponsible behavior. But trying to personally break through to these harassers generally only has a decent chance of shocking them if they feel like part of a faceless crowd with no personal effect on the matter, which doesn't apply here. But not reacting to the harassment at all may very well have led to a similar internal justification for the harasser. There's no universal solution to harassment, and harassers don't share a single psychological quirk you can exploit to make them lose interest.

This goes beyond just casual trolling. If someone is making considerable effort to find you on other websites just so that they can harass you, it gets a bit worrying.

Partly why I deleted the messages on steam, I panicked when it first happened because it's a pretty significant threshold.

This sorta reminds me of that guy a few years ago who admitted that the Mass Effect 3 ending "made him think of murder" I'm 70% sure he was kidding, but there are quite a few people who are actually like that over vidya.

Had someone do this to me to a lesser amount. It never really "scared" me as much as aggravated me, especially when all I wanted was to completely cut connections with them and ignore them. It's far harder to do than it sounds on the internet because it's so easy to find other profiles. In a way that is what makes the whole thing more annoying because this person just comes out of the woodworks in some place you totally don't expect, at a time you don't expect.

Though to note this was a few years ago and as far as I can tell not the case today But, it shows that there are some FP members who go way too far. This happens more often then you think, I am pretty sure there are a lot of FP members who don't post about it happening either.

Considering Facepunch prides itself on strict moderation, the fact that something like that was able to happen is just really fucking disgusting. I hope all those fucks, including the mod, are permabanned now. Just a random guess, but that mod wouldn't have happened to be Rusty100, would it?
