Been debating posting this or not. I too had a stalker/harasser here on facepunch once, a few years ago on a different account. I don't know why he did it, I had no idea who he was and had never had any interaction with him before but he suddenly began contacting me via private message on the forum, and he would constantly send me updates on what personal information about me he was discovering, or trying to discover. He would also just ask creepy and worrisome questions about my life in general. I was able to guess he must have been trying to get some sort of reaction from me, or why else would he send me my own address? Did he think I forgot where I lived? I ignored him as best I could for the most part but at one point I got fed up and just wanted to know why he was even bothering me, and where he was getting his information from, and he just sent me this brief, strange response: [img]http://i.imgur.com/uzZFSAR.jpg[/img] Yes that's right. He was particularly oddly upset over the fact that I had an iphone. I just ignored him otherwise for the most part and he ended up making posts in other areas of the forum, where he other members quickly developed a dislike for him and he was banned a few times for being a shitty person, before being permabanned with the reason "Alt of permabanned user" and that was the end of it, he did not continue to harass me. Unfortunately it seems your problem may be a little tougher to resolve and I really wish you the best of luck. Fuck people like these.

He'd even come back every few months on an alt to do it again. From what I heard from the mods I wasn't even the only person he did it to either and I'm really not even sure why he even started. He was that guy who once posted in a news thread asking for pictures of someone who'd died or something because he was "into that sort of thing, if you know what I mean". You can't get banned for rating bombing unless you do it to more than one person, afaik.

If you're going around and rating someone's posts all the time for a reaction, then you obviously care about ratings enough to do that, so that argument is sort of fruitless.
