Rammstein, best of all time?

They're a good band, but there's no such thing as the best band ever. It's completely opinion.

But, it is not my definitive favourite band. I do own all their albums though.

I cannot really select my favourite song, but the album where I can listen to straight though would have to be Liebe ist Für Alle Da.

Actually, I believe Ministry was industrial rock/synth-pop back in the 80s. They got more metal in the 90s.
Godflesh's Streetcleaner was the first industrial metal album, I think.
I might be mistaken though, I didn't listen to Ministry nearly as much as I listened to Godflesh.

What about every Thrash, Speed, Power metal, Death metal, rap, R&B, etc bands? All ripping off the one band which created the genres?

I know ¬¬ Ministry is the most relevant band IMO... they mixed Metal with Industrial/Synthpop for the first time back in the '80s and build up a genre upon that.

Not really. No band sounds like Ministry to this day, at least not that I've found. Industrial is a huge genre, and saying Ministry is the best of it? That's subjective, yes, but I disagree. Skinny Puppy, Godflesh, Throbbing Gristle, and many other bands that came before, and at the same time as Ministry helped found the sound as well. I'd give it to Ministry for making a very metal version of Industrial, but all the same. They didn't do everything.

And Skinny Puppy is better.

That's what just about everyone who doesn't listen to a genre thinks. I think most rap sounds the same (although I'm aware it's not), but people who are into rap think that all metal sounds the same.

Listen to the bands. Rammstein are nothing like Ministry, not really.

Apparently best concert they've ever been to, and they've been to tonnes. No surprise going by Volkerball, and that Till is a fully qualified Pyrotechnic.

damn I wish I got to go. And Sonisphere is not quite a [I]no[/I], but not a yes.

I hope to hell I can go, some awesome bands showing. Rammstein are headlining alongside Iron maiden.

And Industrial covers lots of different styles.

Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Ministry are all Industrial, and none sound alike. It's a massive spectrum.
