Hardstyle is dead. There is no new talent worth mentioning coming to the hardstyle scene.all of new tracks bring nothing new, it's simply the same old crap. face it, hardstyle has been run into the ground the past 3 years plus all the cool kids these days are moving onto dubstep, which no doubt will go the same way very shortly. [editline]06:06PM[/editline] also I believe some people here don't under stand what dead means it doesn't mean that no hardstyle is being produced
There are still some good artists out there.
My town is full of ravers.
There are still some good artists out there.
Blutonium Boy, Showtek and D-Block & S-Te-Fan, to name a few.
Blutonium Boy, Showtek and D-Block & S-Te-Fan, to name a few.
That's only like hardstyle stuff. Also, every town has it's own club and EDM (electronic dance music) scene, you simply just have to look for it. There are lot's of amateur DJs out there and less real ones. Especially here in Western Canada, where it's pretty much Country country (sadly), the EDM scene isn't very big. You really have to look for it, but it's there. Miami is huge with the Winter Music Conference. There are a few other places like that. Go to any club/dance pub and you'll find people who are into it. [ocd] Also techno is a sub-genre of EDM. How many genres of techno are there?
How many genres of techno are there?
Two. Ambient Techno and Breakcore. All the other genres aren't really real genres.
Only people who like electronic music like Electro House in my school. I always see people doing telectro shuffle. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in my school that likes Drum N Bass. :frown:

Also, certain areas of Canada have very little in the way of EDM period. The Canadian scene mainly revolves around Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. If you're in Saskatchewan or Manitoba it's even harder to find EDM :(
Well it's not like EDM is that great.
Well it's not like EDM is that great.
Some of it is. Some of it isn't. It's the same with all music.
Well music isn't that great. [editline]12:10AM[/editline] complete silence is where it's at.

Don't think I've ever heard people play specifically techno in public , but I've heard people play stuff like DnB , Dubstep , and Chiptunes :) ...oh yeah , and Industrial / EBM

I totally agree with you that the past few years all anyone has been doing is producing the same shit over and over again, but it's just as big as it ever was. Even bigger (unfortunately) now due to all these "Shufflekidz" from Oz. [editline]03:45PM[/editline] Needless to say, I still enjoy it, and I just avoid certain artists *cough*headhunterz*cough* I know I won't like.

Don't listen to them much but the little I've heard, is not impressive. I like Blutonium Boy's dark melody, same with Showteks kinda happy melody.
:toot:Hard styles in CA and a a lot of techno
In the little hick town in Illinois I live in hates techno, but Chicago loves techno.
The only techno that's mainstream is remixes of current rap songs.
I think it's called Electro Shuffle and/or Sydney Shuffle. @Bold Text: Same here :saddowns:
No such thing as the 'Electro Shuffle' or 'Sydney/TownName Shuffle'. It has always and will be AND should be known as the 'Melbourne Shuffle'.
Techno, Hardstyle, and the such aren't as big in the USA, to my knowledge at least, but the general Industrial scene is getting pretty popular.
