I've had the stomach flu for the past 2 days and it's pretty awful, Diarrhea is the fun part because it doesn't
burn or sting, but with the flu everything your body consumes you vomit back up, it's an endless cycle of vomiting drinking Gatorade sleeping and vomiting again.
Diarrhea stings like fucking acid.
Because that makes up a percentage of it.
Giardia.
I had it once too.
Caught it on my fucking honeymoon! ;_;
Drink less untreated surface water / placing your face against cats and dogs.
Also, someone on facepunch is married, what. You are indeed an extreme minority.
Cool. Try that on and off for 7 years. Except add in the fact that the diarrhea is bloody. I'm talking about my Ulcerative Colitis. Basically the lining of your stomach becomes Ulcerated and are irritated by any foods. So everytime I ate I would shit 1 or 2 times about 15 minutes after I ate. Throw in the fact that you can't hold it and you get extreme stomach cramps makes it ten times worse. What I would do was basically stop eating except for what I absolutely had to, which was usually just a small snack when I took my medicine. I was on a cocktail of different drugs, changing constantly when we found out that the medicine had no effects. Often times I was taking about 10 pills in the morning 2 midday and 10 again at night. Plus supplements like iron, folate, etc. So about 30 pills a day. I lost so much wait from not eating/shitting so much. Plus I became anemic because I was losing so much blood. The catch is that the only medicine that made me better was Prednisone, which you shouldn't be on for extended periods of time, so I would be on it for a month wean off of it through a month and be off and in hell for 2 months. Rinse and repeat for 7 years. Add in a couple hospital visits 8 colonoscopy/endoscopy's and that was my 6 years. Now last december, was my first of my two step surgery to remove the affected part of my colon/large bowel. I do that, am in the hospital for 7 days total from getting there pre-op and post-op, get home christmas eve with my ileostomy bag and am back in school that monday. Christmas was a thursday, my surgery was the friday, so I recovered quite fast to be back in school only 9 days after my surgery. Now forward 4 months, I'm suppose to have my second surgery, but I get sick, so they cant operate on me as I could get an infection because I was sick, so my surgery is moved to june, and total I had the ileostomy bag for 6 months. Thats my shit story.
One funny? Really? Ha. Facepunch.

I shit normally, through my ass. Basicly what happens is they move the affected area and create the ileostomy which is creating an incision and putting the ileum through my stomach and stitching it their so that shit exits through their. I would have a ileostomy bag their over the ileum to keep it protected and hold the shit. I have that for 6 months then in the second surgery they take the ileum and reverse the ileostomy and connect the ileum to the rectum, no colon at all and I'm perfect now.

So you don't have one of those bag things that's connected to your intestinse through a hole in your stomach area? Neat o

This is an ileostomy bag. This isnt me, but this is what I had on me for 6 months before my second surgery. The only difference between now and a healthy person shitting is that becuase the colon takes out water from the stool (shit) I have somewhat diahrea-ish shits more often, but alot of the time I have quite solid shits which is always good. And because You don't use your ass for a while when you have the ileostomy bag the skin is usually very sensitive once your hooked up again so you just have to use some miconizol powder and cream there until it gets more accustom to having shit there. Fucking burns everytime you shit for the first month, but its been almost 6 months now.
To whom may you be speaking to?
Why the extra "to" at the end? You already started with "To whom".
What's with all these shit related threads lately, anyway?
So how much weight did you lose from taking out your colon? :downsrim:
Haha, if you're asking seriously I couldn't really tell/remember. I lost the weight mainly from the amount of times I shit a day before my surgery. I was 4ft and 11inches in 4th grade when I was diagnosed, weighed about 96 pounds. Then by the time of my surgery I was 5ft and 79 pounds. The disease really stunts your growth. I use to be one of the tallest kids in 4th grade, then I just stopped growing. But hopefully I'll sprout up soon, it's only been about 5 months since my surgery and I've grown about 2 inches.
