No, they stopped making them and most of the parts. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] And that's an inner barrel, which is metal on the Army R17, what you want is a metal outer barrel.

No, the BB only goes through the inner. The outer is really just there for looks and protection because having a long bronze colored tube coming from your gun is fugly.

The outer matters alot, the inner is pretty fragile.

He seemed interested about being a support gunner, but it looks like he just wants something like a C-Mag, and he seemed interested in the KWA G36, but everywhere has it out of stock, if anybody can find it in stock somewhere decent, it would be incredibly appreciated. What i'm asking is for reasons why not to get it, and some alternatives relating to those criteria, I believe he's willing to spend as much as a KWA, and he doesn't want it to break first time on the field because of a tappet plate or something because of winter. He also seems to like some non-run of the mill guns, such as the german weapons, and he like the F2000 from G&G, but i'm not sure, also, I was going to suggest a RPK, but unfortunately he doesn't like bakelite magazines, he likes the nice metal AK-47 mags. I really don't want him to make a bad decision. On an unrelated note, my local field's tech says that i'm probably going to want to upgrade my G&G, what are the best ways to start on this, such as what are the best companies, and best starts to immediately switch out? I'd rather not destroy my gearbox with a big spring, though.

Stay away from ARES. Ask him what kind of guns he likes, G36, AK, Sigs, etc.

Budget seems to be $300-ish? If he's fine with an M4, then a KWA for sure. If he doesn't want an M4, then the KG36 if you can find it in stock anywhere, or the ICS Sig-552. I think Customs might be a little tougher for you though, seeing how it's flying into New York, and they're usually a bit more strict. Mine went into Chicago, where they're more lenient. They probably thought the gun was going to Detroit or something.

How's L.A. ? And glocks have always been my favorite pistol. There so simple, yet so cool. Ergonomic, too.

So, uh, one of my Hi-capa mags is spitting gas out the top the instant I put propane in. Silicon bath didn't work, anything else I could try before having to replace the lip?
