Okay guys, I have a question. If I order something off airsoft club or ebairsoft, will it be seized by U.S. customs? I was thinking of ordering like a holographic sight or an M203 grenade launcher but I'm worried that customs will take it.
Trust me, what you order will be fine. American customs doesn't really fuck with people's stuff, unless its a legal issue. But I'm pretty sure buying a holographic sight and a M203 airsoft gernade lancher is not on the list of questionable items. Like I said, it will be fine.
Okay thanks for the help guys.
When I bought my Ushanka and had it shipped to IL, the packaging was opened and taped together again when I got it. :ohdear:
Ugh, I need help with my GBBR again. It doesn't fire as it should, it fires without locking the bolt back, but without actually firing anything. I check the magazine and all the BB's are feeding, but not firing. Then once in a couple shots like four BB's come out of the barrel.
Sounds like a jam. Turn the hop-up off, clean out the barrel and try it again. If that's not it then I have no clue unless I physically had it in my hands to inspect it.
I just cleared the barrel, no jams..
I just got a lipo battery and charger. Anything I should know?

Every time you spray half a mag in full auto with a lipo somewhere someone's entire family and their cat are murdered.

Unless you use lowcaps.
I like it as it is an semi auto.
Anything more useful I need to know?

NEVER plug the tamiya connector into anything but the gun.
I found out that I didn't have a spacer with my hop up so I'm gonna have to buy one. Anyone know where I can get some cheap?

From what I remember people say that sovietarmystuff isn't very good, but I'm not 100% on that. Also, Spetsnaz don't like people wearing red berets as they feel it's disrespectful. Depending on where you live you shouldn't have any problem with people confronting you about it, but you never know.
Soviet Army Stuff is overpriced as fuck. Buy from Soviet Propaganda, Skipper's Military Supply or Red Forces instead.
I know KWA is going to release gbb aks, but are they also making an aeg version?
I believe so.

Yeah, they're calling it something else though, ERG's or someshit. "Electric Recoil Gun" iirc.

Not entirely true for Lipos, it really depends on the charger. My $100 super deluxe smart charger requires me to hook up the tamiya and balancing connectors at the same time for it to charge. But my cheap lipo charger only needed to charge through the balancer connector.
Also with lipos, the moment you think you hear the ROF dropping, stop using it. Continued use afterwards could harm the battery. Seems like I did that a few weeks ago. Took the battery out to swap it to see that it had swollen in size and was warm. I left it out on a wide open area of concrete for 10 minutes incase it decided to start smoking or something, luckily it never did. Needless to say, I'm pretty sure that lipo is dead now, not going to risk charging that.
Would it be bad to leave them charged?
Not at all.

This subject always tends to rub me the wrong way as I'll never wear a badge of any real units (reguardless of where there from i.e UK, USA, Russia etc.) as I find it very disrespectful to the members of those units have earned the right to wear their insignias.
Basically for me it's a case of havn't ernt it? DONT WEAR IT!
Should I buy an A&K SVD from this site?

chairsoftgi is a p good website, recommended
not so sure about the SVD though, I heard that charging handle is hard as fuck to pull back with two fingers
although jam an empty M43 casing onto it and you should be golden
Awesome. It is actually my first gun, as I'm a paintballer turned airsofter. Looking forward to playing with my own gun :v:

Oh uhh, this changes things. If you plan on using it at an actual field with other players, normal airsoft games in other words, you're probably not going to want that gun. Sniping is a really bad way to start off airsoft. I guess it's a bit different considering you were a paintballer but still. Sniping isn't even that fun.
When in doubt go DMR.

The SVD a very nice gun, but electric AEGs have nearly as much range and accuracy with considerably higher firepower. Many people would recommend the G&G Combat Machine as the all-around best electric gun for starters. If you really love the Dragunov, you can add a bunch of upgrades if you have lods of emone lying around. It's an interesting platform. It actually uses standardized AEG springs to control the FPS and difficulty of cocking it, so you can just buy a different spring depending on how fast you want to wear out the gun.
It looks like AirsoftGI is selling it with a ~400fps spring. Some other sites sell it with a much stronger spring which is probably not good for the gun's durability and also makes it really, really hard to cock the gun. There are a lot of upgrade kits that add real wood furniture (stock & handguard) to the gun. It can also mount Soviet scopes and replica scopes, and there is a bizarre but cool upgrade kit that lets you use CO2 cartridges instead of a spring for power.
Best thing to get for newbies that want to try sniping: M14 (or something similar). You can use it as a sniper rifle but if you don't like sniping you can still use it as a infantry rifle.
SDM role would be rad.
