Alright, I'll probably pick a pair up soon. Thanks mate.
Just a general word of advice, the way you lace them significantly affects how comfortable they are to wear. I advise using this lacing method, it allows them to bend and really makes them much easier to move around in.
Bookmarked for later. Thanks again lol
I realized an RpK could double as a DMR as well as a Support Weapon. I feel like AK mags might be too big forthat though.
Well, if you've got an insurgent-esque loadout you could call it a Tabuk and AK magazines would be perfect for the role.
I'm thinking about doing some airsoft during the summer just to blow off some steam and meet some more people.
does anyone know anything about the california bay area's (san fran and the surrounding area basically) airsofting scene? I'd imagine it would be great considering all the woods we got here and the fairly diverse population.
also what are some good brands for electric ump's, mp5's, mp5k's, m14's(i dunno what kind i'd get or even if they sell electric m14's) and gas desert eagles or five sevens? i'm probably gonna tacticool my guns out as much as reasonably possible too so brands who take care to make their guns so someone could mount as many rails as you could on the gun in real life. at least i'm thinking of mounting flashlights, laser pointers and scopes (probably normal scope on my main and reflex on my sidearm which would be the mp5k or the fiveseven or deagle)
plus what's a good site for getting gear like clothing, pads or whatever (so getting shot doesn't sting like a fucking cunt) and harnesses and holsters and the like for holding spare mags and other equipment and my sidearm

also www.flecktarn.co.uk for more exotic shit
I think G&G makes the best AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) M14, as well as the MP5, I THINK, although those are a bit expensive, you may be able to find a CYMA equivalent of the MP5's.
I think I hear some good things about the Galaxy MP5k too.

Also, webgear (ALICE, PLCE shit) are your friend.

I use Maine Military Supply and Opsgear. Opsgear has better uniforms and lots of American tac gear, MMS has a whole lot more imported (mostly Eastern European) gear like gas masks and webbing.

opsgear is incredibly overpriced for uniforms, and they only have tru-spec bdus / acus / TRUs (Which are good), but their bdus are overpriced as shit.
same with ACUs.
you can get acus for 70 on predator instead of tru-spec for 80, propper brand (which unlike atlanco tru-spec, is a government contractor brand), or for any god damn price on ebay, where i got mine (gov contract, with IR tabs) for 40 dollars
that or... SURPLUS STORES
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
an example of opsgears overpricing and the advantage of surplus stores / law enforcement shit:
tru combat shirt, size small, in acu on opsgear: 60 dollars
for me, unused, in acu, size small, legit, at surplus store: 30 dollars (also because they love me)
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
WOW WAS I WRONG ON OPSGEAR FOR ACUS... 57 dollars for each article. almost 120 dollars for something you can get for equal or better quality for 70 or less.
their 'premium' bdus by tru-spec are 37 for each item.
i got a full tru-spec 100% cotton tigerstripe bdu set from my local surplus (unused) for 40ish
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
and for the price of opsgear's basic bdus (28 dollars for each item) in a REALLY SHITTY FABRIC that i know is shitty from personal experience, you can get real 50/50 nyco bdus for half the price.
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
shop smart......shop cheap
I use their TRU top, which was $40. I initially ordered the wrong size, but customer service was friendly and I was able to exchange it with the correct size with minimal hassle. As for their basic 60/40 BDUs, I have a pair and they're far, far better than the ones I got from MMS for $20 which split along the inseam in my first match. So I dunno. Maybe I paid too much, but considering it came with customer service actually worth a damn I'm willing to pay a little more, and so far I've had no problems with quality.
Edit: Oh, yeah, and another thing to consider is that different uniform materials have their own properties. The 60/40 cotton/poly mix is a very thick material and much better suited for cold climates than the lighter 50/50 NYCO. I'd also point out that US uniforms are manufactured in a variety of blends, the three most common being 100% cotton (mostly for DCU since it is very light), 60/40 cotton/poly, and 50/50 NYCO, but no single one is 'real'.

No.

Please don't put an optic on your pistol.
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
You can't even mount optics on the Five Seven or Desert Eagle anyway.
WEEL IN SPLINTER CELL YOU CAN
With a mount, reflex sights look pretty bad on pistols.
If they replace the rear sight, I don't feel it looks too bad.
If anyone can find a good rail system for an M4 that can accommodate a 9.6v small type 1600mah battery than it would be much appreciated.
First time posting here. Me and a few friends are planing on having some airsoft battles, the thign is that everyone are new to this and will have to buy guns. I have lurked around here quite a lot so I know a little here and there. Now the question I want to ask is if this gun right here > http://www.garderoben.se/produkt.php?id=2488 < would be good for a first time airsofter? Although, the muzzle velocity is 410 FPS which might be too powerful.
(Also, excuse the swedish site but that's from where I'd probably order the thing from.

I thought one of the variants of the desert eagle had rails by default

Mark xix or something

Most (99%) of Desert eagles can mount optics stock actually, they either have a built in rail over the barrel or come with a rail that you can mount to it.
Adding optics on a sidearm can be fatal, because it would trigger your brains automatic stupidity meter that will automatically remove you from the gene pool by making your head explode.

Technically it's on the suppressor and not on the pistol
As such I predict that you are still alive but have been turned sterile instead

Dude. That is an insanely awesome idea.
How do I get this god forsaken trigger spring in!
I understand where it's supposed to go, I just cant figure out how.

I remember trying to do the same thing as you. That spring is such a pain in the ass, I don't even remember if I got it back in (was a cheapo gun a few years ago).
I HATE THE ANTI-REVERSAL LATCH.
I HATE THE ANTI-REVERSAL LATCH.
Worst part ever. One of my friends ended up taking it out of his gun when he upgraded it because it wouldn't go back in. It was the worst mistake he ever made.
For the record, what's so bad about the SRC RPK? And how is it inaccurate?
