(I posted this as a thread, and I was told to come here, so I'm copy-pasting) I live in Marin County, CA, and I've only played airsoft a couple times (I loved it). Is there any chance any of you would give me some resources or links to help me move from a springsofter (of my two guns, both are pistols, one spring, one gas) to an average, competent airsofter? I know some of you experienced players might be seething in rage at my ignorance, and that's understandable, but just some links and a list of newbie mistakes would suffice. It would also be a help if you could tell me of any airsoft fields nearby. Thanks in advance.

I can't really help you on the field bit since I'm in the UK, but [url]www.airsoftgi.com[/url] is a good site to shop from, your best bet is to try to get ahold of a decent AEG to use, keep the gas pistol as a sidearm and just keep the spring pistol back as a spare incase your gas one breaks. If you tell us what kind of weapon your interested in we'll probably be able to find you something. But i do recommend that you start with some sort of assault rifle like an M4, AK, AUG, the possibilities are endless my friend haha. Hmm, it depends on if you want to do CQB stuff, which ender would help you more with, but if you play field (outside), you'd probably be better off with a normal assault rifle AEG type deal. Most people here would probably recommend the G&G Combat Machine line for an M4, including myself, they're very solid. If you're more of an AK user, most people would normally recommend the CYMA or the DBoys series AK's. In terms of facemasks, normally paintball masks are fine, but if your field allows, go for a full seal (ansi rated) pair of goggles (I hear good things regarding the Revision Desert Locusts), paired with a Brassgaurd, or an Ironface, depends on your field rules. Keep the gas pistol, sell the springer. Next up, BBs. I hear TSD makes good ones, G&G Makes good ones, I use Airsoft Elite BBs, as well as Bioval BBs. (or whatever they are, it's a black bag with yellow sides.) Magazines. In terms of magazines, my Combat Machine M4 takes DBoys midcaps pretty well. I guess this is some easy basic stuff, want to know more? Give me a topic, and i'll help you where I can.

The rear sight is an ARMS #40, I think JG makes them and a few other companies. If it's called a "Tactical Rear Sight" or something, that's probably it. [editline]23rd January 2011[/editline] That delta ring looks kinda weird though.

repost since I only got 2 votes before: Army R17 KJW Glock 23 Or used KWA G23-F with aftermarket OD frame, yet to verify authenticity and price. Rate agree for R17, disagree for KJ G23, or tool for used G23F, assuming it's real and about $100 ish.
