I dumped quite a bit into my TM Hi Capa (it was worth about $650-700 when I traded it). Customizing pistols is fun.
Weren't most of those parts external upgrades? I mean with a pistol, it's not like a gearbox where you have 10 different parts you can replace and upgrade. Maybe a high flow valve, spring, tightbore, that's really it.
In which case you're good to go. Buy spare mags and you're set. I'm not sure anything else you could do to make a huge difference. Than again, the concept of customizing pistols is beyond me. Maybe Stupideye has a suggestion.
It IS for cqb
Still for CQB you'll probably want something a bit bigger than a pistol. Usually gas SMGs are perfect.

External upgrades I understand because there are a metric shit-ton on the market.

But it's not bad. Semi-auto is good for trigger discipline and ammo conservation and the small size is great. I read an article about how pistols are underestimated for CQB operations in a lot of cases.

It's a Glock so there's not a whole lot you can do with it externally, just different material/color frames, slides and barrels really.

There were a few expensive internal parts as well. Slides and compensator's are restricted in Canada so those were quite expensive.

<---- has a kwa sr5

Carbine Kit. For a Glock? CQB? It'd be perfect.
Same Glock as I have I assume, the Army R17.
True dat, the Carbine kit would be perfect. Also krazi for your SR5, you may want to downgrade the spring to an M-110 or something in that range.

Why? It shoots consistently at 330 FPS never going over 340
Okay, thought it was more considering it's a KWA. 330 is about M100-110 speed.
The sr-5 is cqb
I just thought that KWA would do their normal thing and make it at least 380 FPS which is their average FPS in my experience.
Hunh.
(I posted this as a thread, and I was told to come here, so I'm copy-pasting)
I live in Marin County, CA, and I've only played airsoft a couple times (I loved it). Is there any chance any of you would give me some resources or links to help me move from a springsofter (of my two guns, both are pistols, one spring, one gas) to an average, competent airsofter? I know some of you experienced players might be seething in rage at my ignorance, and that's understandable, but just some links and a list of newbie mistakes would suffice. It would also be a help if you could tell me of any airsoft fields nearby. Thanks in advance.
Tell us your budget, what guns you like, etc.
But for now, this, assuming your budget is around $150 for a gun.
If you like M4s, then get a G&G Combat Machine, everyone here recommends them. There's the Raider if you want rails, and the regular one if you don't.
If you want an AK, then the D-boys will be your best bet. There are a few different models, some of them may be a bit over $150 due to the wood and metal. The AKS-74U RK01, if you can find it, is $160 or $130 depending on if you want real wood or not. The AK-74M is $130, but again, it's mostly out of stock. The CYMA CM.035 is also an option for 74Us, and they make several other AKs. However the 035 has gotten some mixed reviews around here.
If you want a G36, then go for the JG. Other less common guns are usually more expensive however.
Yeah, that delta ring is the one that comes on the KAC RAS.
[img_thumb]http://www.quarterbore.com/images/kacsr25car.jpg[/img_thumb]
looks awesome, not sure if it functions any different than the regular d ring though.
Late quote but those are twisted off when you want to remove the free floating RIS and the inner delta ring is twisted off seperately to remove the outer barrel
What the fuck? 3 days ago I made an order on evike.com and still didn't get any shipment cost. Are they always so slow with international orders?
On a GBB? What kind of internal mods can you do on a pistol aside from like, a longer barrel, spring/spring guide or just replacing parts? I never understood why anyone would dump money into internals of a pistol, it's a backup for your primary except in CQB where it's actually in it's own effective range for once.
a longer barrel, springs/guides and replacing parts are the only upgrades you can make on anything

Evike is slow even with US orders. And if they're not being slow you're probably going to get the wrong thing or a broken gun.
a longer barrel, springs/guides and replacing parts are the only upgrades you can make on anything
Nope.
they wont all fit?
Oh I wasn't talking to you dear, was just replying to Wewt!
And they should fit, normally, if they don't, as it may happens with everything in some bad luck cloud, you can just sand/file some parts to make them fit.
But if the AG17 Is TM compatible, the Guarder parts will fit.
Did you just call him dear? Lol.
Yeah, so what?
