Version 2 Gearboxes are like the standard they're so common.
Nearly every M4 uses a Version 2 Gearbox.
What's a Bieber?
It's raining hearts.
I found some excellent videos showing tracer round BBs fired in the night, viewed by nightvision, really showing their trajectory/speed/distance, and I must say that it's pretty impressive.
I know this will be rather opinion-based, but what's the better choice for a starting Airsofter? Spring loaded, gas, or electric? (Spring/GBB/AEG I believe, not sure though.)

Electic is kinda the only way to go.
Could you explain why? Gas looks fairly beefy in some videos.
You need to keep refilling the gas, and it underpreformes in our cold rainy Dutch weather.

It's expensive as shit, hard to take care of, and has low mag capacity (something very bad for new guys).
Well, don't you need to recharge batteries also? How many shots would you get on the average gas filling?

Ah, well, that decides that for me then. Thanks guys. :3:
How many shots would you get on the average gas filling?
About 10 more than the mag capacity.
Whereas unless you spray anyway, a 2000MaH or larger battery should last pretty much all day.
It is generally accepted that 1 mah = about 1 shot

i know more today..
THATS 4 HIGH CAPS FOR MY M4'S MINI BATTERY!!
[editline]25th February 2011[/editline]
or like 100 midcaps lol

If you don't mind that AEGs are basically hollow shells with internal designs totally independent of their real counterparts, go electric.
If you prefer a squeaky, chirpy, whirring sound when you pull the trigger, go electric.
If you like having near-zero realism, no recoil or movement when firing*, and the culture of SPAM 6000rd DRUM MAG AT 1500RPM TO WIN, go electric.
If you want to actually have fun, you'll eventually want try gas blowback power :woop:
No gearboxes, wiring, motors, or battery fuss.
The realistic-capacity magazines are a challenge: make each shot count.
$3 for a can of propane that lasts thousands of shots.
*If you've always wanted your gun to have simulated Parkinson's disease, try new electric blowback! :v:
The only thing that I don't like about GBB's is that they don't work in the cold/winter which is bad news here in Canada land.
Again, I'll make the point that GBBs don't function in cold weather, making them useless for people like me who enjoy playing outdoors during the winter.

Fucking ninjas.
I've never fired an Airsoft weapon in my life. This isn't helped by the fact that I live in Holland. Luckily, legalization of the sport is being pulled through, and laws for it are being set up.
Anyway, I've been checking out a lot of videos of the sport, and weapons, terms and whatnot, to familiarize myself a little. My question, is about the velocities of the BBs. How fast, is like, 300 feet per second. It's hard for me to imagine as is the distance traveled by the BBs. I mean, I've seen Airsoft snipers around a lot, but is there any use to such a scope, if you can only hit targets a yard or so away?
Just trying to gage the realistic combat experience of the sport.
This is a very good and just question, and not one that I don't think a lot of people think about.
Could you explain why? Gas looks fairly beefy in some videos.
Mostly cost, the guns themselves are usually more expensive and on top of that you have the reoccurring price of refilling the gas.
I might add, your post quality is very good.
Edit:
Wow, I did not see the next page... Ninja'd by like 5 hours.
Refilling gas is cheap. A bottle of propane is $3 and lasts a really long time.
downside - propane smells like shit
propane smells pretty ok to me
other than that gas...
gas is the way 2 go marked 1
only if you'vegot money tho
Any of you guys have experience with Condor softshell jackets? I kinda want one.

If it were from somewhere but Amazon it would be alright. Also, it's a CYMA rebrand so you can save money by buying it from CYMA.
You can get that same gun for $100 from Airsoft GI and not support Cybergun.

Free shipping on ASGI makes it cheaper most likely. Also, don't buy shit from Amazon. Seriously.

Better. Maybe, but if you want to be sure you should compress the spring and let it sit a few days compressed.
only if you'vegot money tho
This, and really only this.
I, personally, will probably be investing in a gas automatic sometime down the line for when I finally get tired of the whole spray and prey (but I'm still new, so I don't think this will be anytime soon).

Buy it, you won't regret it. Kept me dry during the Fort Ord game in the rain last weekend.
