Anyone here have a badass STALKER loadout they can give me a list of parts? :ohdear:
STALKER?
You mean the game of wearing an anorak and shooting people wearing slightly different colored anoraks?
Got £220 for my airsoft fund and thinking about purchasing this http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/G-G-M4-GR-16-Blowback-Two-Tone-Airsoft-Gun_ANHG0.aspx?0
And I figured it'd be cool to also have a side arm. I figured (as spending another £120 on a gas powered 1911 that I'd be unable to use outside most of the year due to shitty weather) I'd buy a simple single action revolver, likes this http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/4-M-29-Chrome-BB-Gun-Revolver-2-Tone_AT36V.aspx?0 Yes it's 2-tone and yes it does a measly 150 FPS. What I want to know is would it be worth upgrading the spring to gain an extra 30-50 or just leave it and buy a quick EAP.
I will guarantee that that pistol will be pretty bad.
Anything by We, KWA, or KJW should be good.

I lust for this gun.
Mother Mary and Jesus stop the burning desire I have for an airsoft Colt Navy Revolver
Agreed. I about came when I saw they were selling fixed revolvers at our local gun range. Here, I found a pretty decent one for airsoft not too long ago: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_Marushin_Marushin_X_Cartridge_Super_Blackhawk_7_5_Inch_HW_Silver.htm unfortunatly, they're out of stock, but it's good for me (I still have time to beat you to it!).

I've never seen the use of a side arm in airsoft other than to look cooler. If I were you I'd just spend more on your primary.
On something like what? I wasn't sure that spending another £280 to get a Tokyo Mauri M4 would be worth it, it only does 280 fps also. Any suggestions? That one has all I want really.
This has probably been asked a billion times...buuut
Where can I get myself a good AEG for less than $300?
I wish to get two, an M16/M4A1 and an AK47/AK74. That way I can flip flop from Terrorist to Counter Terrorist with ease.

Terrorists can use M4s though. Hezbollah uses them all the time.

That's just stupid. Don't align yourself to stereotypes, especially if you're trusting the Counter-Strike games to be totally accurate to real life. If your budget is high enough for two good AEGs, just purchase a significantly higher quality, unique, customized AEG and make it your love-child. Find something interesting and useful, or a design you've always been fascinated with.
Or just browse http://world.guns.ru/assault-e.html, throw a dart at the left sidebar and go with whatever it lands on. If you're a die-hard fan of plain ARs (see thread title) and plain AKs, picking one and then later moving on to another might be the best option for you. But if you're just jumping in and throwing money away without doing much research, you're going to miss out on a lot of airsoft's personalization.

Hey guys, what would a good sniper brand be? Trying to help my brother pick one out (as his second primary) but I'm seeing new brands (e.g. UTG AGM).
Like I said, buying snipers is a risky business. First of all it's very illegal, plus feeding it isn't cheap by any means. My last one got away, not worth the price by at all. The Mexcian brand ones are the best imo, cheap and reliable.
No way. Best snipers are the bored Mediterranean and Eastern Bloc mercenary types with nothing to do short of plinking pumpkins on the family farm.

Here's a link to the best sniper I've found so far:

JG BAR-10 is the best noob sniper rifle. Pretty much the only one that's "Okay" out of the box.
Please explain to me what exactly the wood on this is?
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=154_155&products_id=2903
Is it like a plastic picture plastered over the gun, it said imitation wood furniture, I don't really know what that entails exactly. Trying to decide between all the different AK74s on airsoftgi, the Dboys one has horrible reviews but it's real wood ugh.
This one is cheap and has good reviews, but it says it's pot metal and I don't like that flash hider and oh god I am going crazy. Please link me to the best AK74 with a folding stock I can get for a maximum of 200$, please. I will be buying a veschmeshok and of course the BBs along with it.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3110
Also, it's for a STALKER kit so an AK74 would make the most sense since the Kalashnikov is the stereotypical Russian badass weapon, but feel free to recommend other weapons in place of an AK for a STALKER kit. If I can't decide on an AK or a different weapon I'm falling back on the Dragunov SVD. Terribly sexy weapon. :ohdear:
Can't afford a scope for the SVD though. :v: In Mother Russia, all I need is my Ushanka!

Lmfao, dude, you had me going there for a while. God, now my family's looking at me funny for laughing at my computer.

I'll take a look into it, the one's I've seen so far are either too cheap to be good or too expensive.
Found mine. :v: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_113&products_id=4308
Hrm... He got me looking at Ghillie Suits, now I'm kind of wanting to make my own. Not too sure though because my track record for finishing stuff isn't too good. Looking at one guy's way of doing it, seems rather feasible, and I'm looking at these kits (seems to be cheaper when doing the initial math) and says it only takes 5hrs; both options are half the price of the cheapest decent looking ghillie suit.
Making your own is the best way to go. It's not too expensive but it takes quite awhile.
Does Illinois apply for free shipping on orders over 100$ on airsoft GI?
Why wouldn't it?
Three things:
1) Is it bad for your gun to dry-fire it?
2) Should I unplug the battery when I'm not using it? If so, why?
3) How long does a fully-charged battery usually last, and how will I know when it's time to charge it again?
What's the difference between the JG Bar 10 (http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2493) and the JG Bar 10 G-Spec (http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2790)?
So about the ghillie suit: thinking I'll build my own (either from a kit or the "home-grown" instructions) and my brother will be ordering his.

1. yes
2. yes - so you don't fuck shit up and because you should anyways
3. i hear 1 shot = 1 ma. battery duration depends on ma anyways
4. you should know when to charge when it gets all slow and STOPS WORKingG
1) No.
2) The gun drains your battery very slowly even while not in use, so it's up to you.
3) 1 MAH = 1 shot from what I've heard.
