Can somebody identify the shit the guy on the far right (yeah, it's late, i meant right but said left) is wearing?
I'm too lazy to research, and I might make this a project for next winter or something.
I'm getting a mixture of the dude on the far left and the far right. Balaclava and bucket helmet FTW
I would definitely do it with a boonie too, I love boonies
I am going to make a really obscure loadout once my neo-Russian-greenguy one is done. Which of these sounds the best?
1. Vietcong
2. Taliban
3. Some sort of hella poor rebel

I'd go with hella poor rebel. You ever play Metro 2033? Yeah like that.
he should go with a loner STALKER loadout
I think I'll do taliban just to piss off amerifag airsofters
At the very least Kill001 will know something about this.
What is a comfortable gasmask that will work with glasses? Needs to be US Army Kosher.
IE: Gasmasks the Army has used in the past 30-40 years. Vietnam-Current.
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
I have an M17 and I can't breath with it on because the filters are full of sand or some shit from the Gulf. Aside from that there is no way to fit glasses in there and I enjoy my sight.
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
Does not have to ANSI-rated. Do not want lenses inserts unless I can just pop my glasses in there without any modification.

Wait gasmasks are practical for combat? So I could fight (like a boss) wearing this and not have the glass break/run without suffocating?
No, I just want it for a costume. Gasmasks are shit for Airsoft and you can't breathe in them. The lenses are usually plastic or glass and shatter when BB's hit them.
I literally only know of one gasmask that is ANSI rated.
Funfact I own a PMG mask. The lenses are glass and will blind you when they shatter.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up.
Couldn't you laminate the lenses, so they'd shatter but wouldn't splinter and fly all over the place?
Or simply replace them.
I don't know anything about laminating, I wouldn't trust it though, I really wouldn't.
And as for replacing them, you mean replacing them with ANSI rated lenses? Unless you can make your own that's not really an option, only a handful of gas masks sell aftermarket ANSI lenses.
@1st, how would that work?
@2nd, much harder said than done. Attaching them would be a pain in the ass, nevermind making the lenses.
@1st, how would that work?
It's assuming you could take them out, it'd work like safety glass.
It's also assuming they're only going to withstand a few shots and that that's okay with the wearer.

You realize those filters are very old, right? I dunno if they're safe. :ohdear:
You realize those filters are very old, right? I dunno if they're safe. :ohdear:
There's only one way to find out, and that's by opening them and seeing if there's asbestos. For that reason I have hollowed out all my old Russian filters.
Are redsoldier.com and sovietarmystuff.com good websites?
Are redsoldier.com and sovietarmystuff.com good websites?
Not sovietarmystuff. Redsoldier, Skippersmilitary, and Soviet-Propaganda are where to go.
Not sovietarmystuff. Redsoldier, Skippersmilitary, and Soviet-Propaganda are where to go.
Thanks, I noticed Sovietarmystuff had higher prices than Redsoldier so I figured to stay away from there anyways.
Sovietarmystuff has the backpack I need. The rucksack. :ohdear:
Ehh dunno where to post this so I'll ask here, is there any manufacturers that make a replica MICH 2000 in size Large? I have a replica MICH 2000 from Condor and it's too small, it sits really high on my head and looks dumb. Or are they all the same pretty much?
If I had some kind of respirator and a pair of goggles, would that work? Or would the BBs penetrate the respirator?
You realize those filters are very old, right? I dunno if they're safe. :ohdear:
Those filters were originally made for the GP-5, which was made after they stopped using asbestos in them.
You realize those filters are very old, right? I dunno if they're safe. :ohdear:
They're safe. All filters after a certain point stopped using asbestos. All these popular Russian ones are still used by Police today. PMG, PBF, PMG2, GP-5 etc.
Uhh, Russia definitely doesn't use this relic anymore.
