I frankly agree with Kawaii, I mean things like 1337 Sn1per, Killer, Fire/Shadow [I]x[/I], and anyother stereotypical 'awesome' gamer tags just sound flatout stupid. I don't mean any offense to people who actually use these names, but they're just so clich'e and sound like a 12y.o. made them up. Don't get me wrong though, I love hearing your guys' opinions and suggestions.

Well, now that I'm getting back to Airsoft, I'm trying to figure out what to buy. Again. It's between a Combat Machine M4, an M14, or an AK. My budget for Gun+Battery+Charger is about $250. I already have $50 worth of other stuff I need, like mags and a chest rig.

Juat be sure to tune the hop-up.

Yeah, the only thing I don't like about the M14 is the possibility that it may be too big.

Also I'm not sure if SRC uses a 1 piece metal outer barrel or a 2 piece, TM style outer barrel. The old TM style 2 piece barrel tends to be really thin, not ideal for free floating barrels like you would need for the Larue RIS. If you could take a quick picture of the barrel under the handguard I could help you with this. This is my M16 with an 11" Larue. That 1 inch gap just kills the look, that's why I recommend a 12" RIS if you still plan on using that front iron sight. [IMG]http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/9999/dsc0081gr.jpg[/IMG]

I've always wanted to have enough money for one of those airsoft miniguns and mount it on something. That'd make an interesting game, trying to get to the flag with 3000 rounds per minute coming at you. Just for curiosity's sake, anyone have any experience with one? Even though one costs more than my car, they're pretty damn interesting.

I fear high ROF P90 setups with box mags more than a minigun. Somehow having some guy being able to run after you shooting 40 rounds per second is just damn scary. At least you can outrun a minigun, poor guy carrying it won't be moving very fast.

That's why I said mount it on to a platform or something, it'd be used to guard a fortified position in an objective game.

They're unbelievably impractical. If I ever see one, I think the owner would be one of those sad people with way too much money on their hands or a fat rich kid with an overbloated ego.

P90s for airsoft are already pretty impractical, but having a high ROF and high capacity mag isn't impractical. It's practical, but again, just dumb.
