He finished rehosting, then took a 24-hour nap to recharge himself for the next two months.

On a unrelated note, the only way I can think of Nepeta furviving is if she can regenerate. You know, like the character her claws shout out to - Wolverine. After all, with the exception of Karkat, every Troll has some unique power (correct me if I am wrong), and it would make sense for Nepeta to have this power, as it allows for handwaving due to foreshadowing. So Gamzee could have thought he had killed her by smashing her skull in, only for it to repair shortly after. And after all, everyone seems to be becoming what they were foreshadowed to be now - Kanpire, Monster Clown Gamzee, etc...
