What I got from the curtains was that we don't start at the begining (cos the curtains are already open), but start at act 6, as Rose only opens the sixth curtain. And judging by the area where you meet john, a new universe is created in this timeline. And the gold room beyond could even hint at act 7...

You guys are overthinking. Green is Jade's colour so mabye the new chapter has a larger emphasis on her.
With that logic Acts 1-4 and Act 5 act 2 were centered around Dave, and Act 5 act 1 was centered around John.
