I'm thinking Rose is going to die avenging John, significantly weakening Jack in the process. John is going to wake up after he realizes that he died like a bitch (Unless he somehow brought those blood packets with him onto the battlefield). John will lament that one of his friends was killed and finally become a leader.

I am starting to loathe the term "plot armor". Why does everyone have to poke through the story and make assumptions solely based on what we have seen in the future to explain what's happening now?
Can't you stop arguing about what could have or couldn't have happened, and instead wait for the story to continue?
Or when people analyze what amount of drama exactly did author want to push at the specific moment, and base assumptions about how much will he want to continue with.
Or calling out things like "killing pointless characters" and shit like that.
Can't you just stand back and enjoy the fucking story and the characters as they are and what they know themselves, without poking through it from point of view of a bored drama critic who takes the thing as a mechanical product which has to be analyzed, described and graded?
Just stand.
And watch.

Not at all. Discussing everything from within the story is fine. What bothers me is when people base the discussion not on content of the story - what characters said, what was foreshadowed, and so on, but instead on what they await from Andrew as an author and things like tropes which they attempt to apply.
I wouldn't ever argument that John can't be dead because he's too important character. I would argument that John isn't dead because he's a Godtier and this was a death of treason, cheap and not worthy of him.

Due to low amount of dialogue and high amount of timeline shenanigans we don't really have much to discuss in those areas.
So you're more saying that it gets a little irritating when all that anyone is discussing is "omg what's gonna happen next", and when people start picking it apart and nagging it for some tropes it may follow.
