Terezi was unconscious before we saw her with the bite marks, Kanaya probably knocked her out or something, for the pain possibly. She looked like she was just waking up. But what wouldnt make sense in that case is how Kanaya would be there, seeing as she would have bit her not long ago. I guess maybe they aren't really the present time players, just the past selves with present memories and appearance?

I don't think so, since we didn't see any of the code fragments during Hivebent, so they were most likely writing them in their sleep when their subconscious would take over. Since the sopor slime keeps Gamzee's two personalities connected, it would make sense for his subconscious to write out the code fragment without him going on a rampage. Gamzee keeps his two personalities connected with the slime, but in his subconscious they remain separate.
