I got up to date at [s] Kanaya: Return To The Core, just before shit started going down.
I wasn't pat of any big Homestuck megathreads, so I wasn't in discussions about all the individual updates. And I'm going to bet that a lot of people, like me, only notice that sort of thing after being in some discussion where people discuss all the smaller details.
And stuff.
