You have a point but I prefer them being fully in the story, I like that all the characters get looked on a little instead of being faceless plot voices
The new album is pretty good, but I liked the faster-paced [I]Strife![/I] album better though. More strife music would be awesome.

i think they had a bit too much screen time, they didn't need the longest act in the entire story
and then there's the fact that they're seen as main characters by most of the vocal fans who are in it for the shipping

I think they add alot more depth to the story, and are pretty interesting as characters.

reading the commentary while listening to the tracks is pretty cool, and the commentary itself is interesting enough

the album cover on Trollcops (Radio Play) is glorious, and the radio play itself is pretty funny

Well the act is shared by the kids so it's not all theirs, it could have been a whole lot worse though, we could have seen them completing the whole game bit by bit instead of skipping through to the important bits

Karkat, Terezi, Vriska and slightly Kanaya are pretty much main characters.
The rest are fairly minor though you're right.
