I like how it doesn't even mean anything about the movie lol Of course it's a middle finger to its "haters". They even have a scene literally for that
I'm terrified that I'll see the movie and like it :v:

glad to see movie reviewers have stooped to the level of games reviewers, glad to see i can't even trust them anymore
Let's also not forget that just because critics gave a film a good review, doesn't mean a film is good. For instance, "The Witch". https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_witch_2016/
the witch rules, dude
God I don't know what I find more disgusting. Sony's "marketing" or the "critical reception." Fuck it, they're both terrible.

If the film department of Sony wasn't run by idiots they would've actually admitted they fucked up big time with this whole thing, but if that were the case Pascall and Feig would have never of came in.
'Crash and burn' in overall reception means jackshit if they make the money back at initial or foreign showings.
No NO NO!!! This movie can't get a sequel. I thought sequels were reserved for shit that was good or at least likable.
No NO NO!!! This movie can't get a sequel. I thought sequels were reserved for shit that was good or at least likable.
transformers?
transformers?
Some people like their explosions and Megan Fox mixed up.
No NO NO!!! This movie can't get a sequel. I thought sequels were reserved for shit that was good or at least likable.
Don't worry this is Sony. ASM 2 made its money back and then some and it still disappointed them enough to play ball with marvel and cancel their spider-man movie universe
transformers?
The definition of a popcorn flick. The first movie was actually pretty good, tbh. The second one shits the fucking bed like a geriatric on laxatives in no small part due to the writers strike, and the third is as exciting as watching two walls fucking. Havent seen the fourth, but hey. Dumb robot action.
Melissa Mcarthy and her posse of filmmaking succubi are like cancer if it was made in to actors.
Yall's commitment to dislike the film without having actually seen it makes you, in my opinion, just as bad as the people who are committed to like the film without having actually seen it.
Yall's commitment to dislike the film without having actually seen it makes you, in my opinion, just as bad as the people who are committed to like the film without having actually seen it.
Thank you, Moral Superiority Man. [editline]11th July 2016[/editline] There are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike this film without seeing it, top of which being the downright disgusting way it was produced and marketed. I cant in good conscious spend money on it knowing i'd only be responsible for its potential success as a result. Even as a morbid curiosity.
It's an art piece. you can say its an unethical film and say you don't think people should spend money to support it, but it doesn't make sense to "want" the film to be bad. it'd be like secretly hoping Hitler was also a pedophile? or hoping that his paintings suck just because he killed a bunch of jews. its just a weird and vindictive outlook on the world to me, sorry :\
http://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/ghostbusters-review-film A+
it's like reading pravda
It's an art piece. you can say its an unethical film and say you don't think people should spend money to support it, but it doesn't make sense to "want" the film to be bad.
I want it to be bad so it doesnt do well and these practices arent justified. Also fuck all these remakes.
Iit'd be like secretly hoping Hitler was also a pedophile? or hoping that his paintings suck just because he killed a bunch of jews.
What an odd topic to pull out godwins law.
Iits just a weird and vindictive outlook on the world to me, sorry :\
Bro, i dont WANT things to be bad just because, i'd prefer if everything was good, and everything behind the scenes was also good. But sadly, thats not the case.
k heres some non-hitler examples: 1.) hoping new Nike shoes are ugly bc they use child labor 2.) hoping the quality of food at a restaurant becomes shitty because they fired your friend 3.) wanting Wagner to suck just because he was anti-semetic 4.) wanting a new woody allen film to be unfunny because he sexually harassed someone idk you can probably think of more. its just weird logic imho.
No, not really.
It's an art piece
hoo boy
Yall's commitment to dislike the film without having actually seen it makes you, in my opinion, just as bad as the people who are committed to like the film without having actually seen it.
Bro I've read the leaked plot details from Stantz1984 and the novelization, it's as fucking shitty as everyone has been saying
hoo boy
by which i meant that our primary interaction with it as a film is to admire it as an art object? is that controversial? is it actually a game? or are we supposed to eat it? [editline]12th July 2016[/editline]
No, not really.
no not really the examples aren't applicable? or no not really its not weird logic?
no not really the examples aren't applicable? or no not really its not weird logic?
Yes.
The fact that the majority of the reviewers at the moment are inserting their own agenda into a film review instead of looking at the movie by itself is probably the best example of how down the drain modern journalism is. Fuck it, this is the push I need to start writing and reporting. Maybe I should go to college after all.
Yes.
well the examples seem applicable. and it seems like weird logic to me because its hella vindictive? Maybe the movie actually is enjoyable but you oppose it for political reasons? Don't hope that its bad just because it'll make your life easier. Vegetarians should feel free to admit that meat tastes good, they should just say people ought to not eat it for other reasons. Chocolate tastes good - you don't have to "hope" that it tastes bad just because Nestles uses child labor. is the movie good? the reviews seem to say its ok, and the blood thirst for a bad review is just... funny? to me anyway lol
Maybe the movie actually is enjoyable but you oppose it for political reasons?
Good thing it's neither enjoyable nor hated for political reasons. Rather, it's hated because it's not enjoyable as a standalone movie or as a sequel/reboot in a series. Not sure why you think people can't say things are bad because they are.
"it's not enjoyable as a standalone movie or as a sequel/reboot " dude this thread was filled for like 8 pages of people wishing the movie would be shit so I have no idea what you are talking about [editline]12th July 2016[/editline] Also have you seen it? why do you think its bad?
I personally didn't find the trailer to be funny, which is the reason why I'm not spending money to watch the movie.
