So we gone from talking about the film to fashion sense. What are you, divas? It's kind of sad to see this film according to reviews so far to be absolute garbage. I mean I kind of predicted that, but a part of me wishes that it didn't. An all-female team of Ghostbusters sounds like a great idea if handled right. A League of their own is a great film about an all female baseball team back when such an idea was stupid. The Ghostbuster comics had done this before and that was great.
I feel this probably won't deter generic movie goers.
It definitely deterred any actual fans of the series (men and women alike), seeing as their negative feedback was immediately labeled as something entirely antagonistic and unrelated to what they were saying. People on the fence about the ordeal either got spoonfed from the media that "it's the sexist men and girls rule" and saw through that lazy PR or they were swayed in favor of it because "women cards" (word-for-word what was used in promotion of the film). I don't feel like it'd affect the general wave of people seeing the film over the course of the opening weeks, but seeing how heavily it was met with opposition in both the pre-release trailers and the preview screenings, I don't see it doing all that well. Maybe it'd do okay in the opening weekend from people genuinely curious and hopeful and tank afterwards once people realize it's garbage. I just don't see anyone actually excited to see the movie moreover that it's just a lazy kind of curiosity that they'll eventually get around to. Opening weekend is where most of the money is and alienating people is a good way to shoot themselves in the foot.
I intentionally messed my hair up in that picture to give it a sorta mugshotish, unkempt aesthetic that's also the reason i lit it like that, took it from straight on, put myself off-center, relaxed my face and made the colors warm and faded maybe if you had a sense of aesthetics you would be able to tell that
so you dressed casually so you would look casual and now you're telling people off for thinking you dress casually
OOOOHHHHH
stop
if you have good taste in movies then you probably have good taste in clothing and haircuts as well, and a good sense of aesthetics a good life philosophy is to never listen to the recommendations of someone who wears cargo shorts, for example i have no idea who moviebob is but i google images'd him and i wouldn't follow his recommendations either or jim sterling
This advice is massively asinine. Cargo pants aren't about aesthetic, they're about function. There is nothing wrong with liking function, and if anything it's better to have a taste in functional clothing over fancy clothing
True, but first impressions are important. Looking nice while telling your opinion in a well-produced video gives it legitimacy. Looking like you're a weekend airsofter about to do a fast food review in your dimly lit car doesn't. People like Jim Sterling dress objectively bad lol.
How? [t]http://www.gamerampage.net/uploads/2/9/5/3/29536417/9502023_orig.jpg[/t] he has way better taste than you dude His act is all about being somewhat theatrical. That's what the 'Jim' character is about. He built the clothing around the aesthetics of antagonistic characters of past. He is nothing but aesthetic. Meanwhile your entire dresser is full of plain white shirts. You don't have bad taste, you have NO taste to begin with. Even Uwe Boll has better taste than you, even if its poor taste, because he has taste at all.
Well man that's because I'm sittin here posting things that piss you off then again i dont particularly care about the first impression from someone who plays steam games 30 hours a week
I used to think you were a pretty alright poster but this is shining a new light on you what is actually wrong with you, you're on a gaming forum making fun of people for playing video games you're an arse dude.
you're an ass dude.
Eric gets himself into trouble in every thread he posts in because he's objectively a bad person. [editline]Edit:[/editline] Any other early reviews out? I'm glad this movie is sounding like the trainwreck I knew it would be.
Well man that's because I'm sittin here posting things that piss you off. I'm not trolling though, these are my actual opinions then again i dont particularly care about the first impression from someone who plays steam games 30 hours a week maybe if you had a sense of aesthetics you would be able to tell that OOOOHHHHH
Who made you the Master of Aesthetics? Everyone has different tastes. Judging peoples' personalities based on their physical appearance is a shallow thing to do and something that only sad empty people like you do. So is insulting someone for playing 30 hours of video games on Steam. You don't know shit about him, you're just being a judgemental prick.
Already people are fighting over the movie for controversial reasons but surprisingly not over the main cast but someone reviewing the movie and their physical appearance. I don't like Moviebob for reasons either but him having a gut is definitely not one of them, I just want to see this thing crash and burn in front of Sony's face in the most spectacular way.
Watch this movie suffer the same fate as Jem, and get pulled from theaters 2 weeks in after release.
Watch this movie suffer the same fate as Jem, and get pulled from theaters 2 weeks in after release.
This movie actually has some marketing. Jem literally had fuck-all besides a trailer.
This thread has made it so I never want to hear the word "aesthetic" ever again. [editline]9th July 2016[/editline]
then again i dont particularly care about the first impression from someone who plays steam games 30 hours a week
A friend of mine died a few days ago and I'm playing a lot of games to put it out of my mind. thx though
You'd think this was a satirical vapourwave thread or something.
A friend of mine died a few days ago and I'm playing a lot of games to put it out of my mind. thx though
Jesus, Eric is so insensitive
Jesus, Eric is so insensitive
He's gonna be the next Elliot Rodger. Calling it.
Jesus, Eric is so insensitive
Well it's not like he knew.
I don't understand him, he comes here posting about this dudes personal interests then goes to the refugee camp complain about people targeting his own personal interests.
I intentionally messed my hair up in that picture to give it a sorta mugshotish aesthetic that's also the reason i lit it like that, took it from straight on, put myself off-center, relaxed my face and made the colors warm and faded maybe if you had a sense of aesthetics you would be able to tell that OOOOHHHHH
Maybe if you had a life you'd realize that aesthetics is not important in the least out in the real world, you self-centered prick. I mean you don't even know who Michael Schumacher is lmfao, you are an embarrassment.
I don't understand him, he comes here posting about this dudes personal interests then goes to the refugee camp complain about people targeting his own personal interests.
Does he not have a point though? I just chill in my band shirts and pajama pants all day when I'm not at work so my movie tastes are bad. Like Green Mile, Shawshank, Clockwork Orange, T2, those are all bad movies really, because I think they are good and I don't dress in a tuxedo 24/7 :VVV
I don't understand him, he comes here posting about this dudes personal interests then goes to the refugee camp complain about people targeting his own personal interests.
Double standards are delicious. On topic, for once I'm surprised so many pre-release rumors were true especially the ending. Predicting a Batman V Superman scenario where the criticism is so wide and consistent that the defense force just start shooting down any criticism even if it's constructive.
I don't understand him, he comes here posting about this dudes personal interests then goes to the refugee camp complain about people targeting his own personal interests.
Angst is a mysterious creature. Sometimes you just have to be right, at all costs.
Predicting a Batman V Superman scenario where the criticism is so wide and consistent that the defense force just start shooting down any criticism even if it's constructive.
That started when the first trailer was released. In response to genuine criticism of the trailers from men and women alike (as well as some toxic responses, to be expected on the internet), the marketing campaign revolved around "sexists don't like film, you should watch it to spite them." And then they just ran with it. Since the second trailer hit, I've instead seen ads focusing entirely on the fact that it's Ghostbusters instead of showing anything about the film itself, it's as if they know that the film is garbage and are expecting to make bank on brand recognition.
The best thing about this movie are the faces jay and mike will make reviewing it.
The best thing about this movie are the faces jay and mike will make reviewing it.
I doubt they're doing to go back on their word and review it, especially after the SJW shitstorm on Twitter.
The best thing about this movie are the faces jay and mike will make reviewing it.
I hope they don't. I hope most internet critics take Rolf's approach and don't see this. Don't give it the publicity. Let the newspaper critics tear it apart.
I doubt they're doing to go back on their word and review it, especially after the SJW shitstorm on Twitter.
They said they're not going to review it either? I can understand where they're coming from, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to hear their thoughts on it, Half in the Bag style. Oh well.
I doubt they're doing to go back on their word and review it, especially after the SJW shitstorm on Twitter.
I doubt they care that much about that
It should be like their Step Up: Revolution review.
It's not about having to "dress nice", it's about not dressing really bad because it proves you have no sense of aesthetics, and because of that aren't someone fit to critic a visual medium. Dressing neutral would be fine
lol look at this stupid neckbeard i bet he couldnt make a film to save his life [editline]9th July 2016[/editline] come to think of it his movies got worse as he started looking better
On topic, for once I'm surprised so many pre-release rumors were true especially the ending.
More like a leak; what else were you expecting for a film like this anyways? Since everything about the leak just happened to be proven fact surrounding the story, that also means the troubled production including examples such as the cast for this film absolutely hating what they were doing and the cast of the original film getting legal action taken against them if they didn't make so much as cameos in this film just so happen to be true as well. I take both were forced to say good things about the movie on top of that. I have absolutely no respect at all for the people pulling the strings here.

Like these people are so painfully out of touch and controlling it's ridiculous.
It has a shit-tier quality ending as well, wonder how they defeat the final boss? [sp]They cross their beams and aim at his dick[/sp]
If this is true then I'm actually offended. [editline]340[/editline] nvm he confirms this in the video jesus fuck i hope this movie bombs, there's a difference between trying to put women on the same pedestal as men, and putting women on a pedestal and kicking them off.
