we all know that to do a good job, you just have to dress a certain way, then everything else falls into place
that's how it works right?

imagine being the type of human being who discredits a persons opinion based on how they look.
not only that, but being just as unkempt or unattractive as the person you're trying to bring down.
much like how the owner of abercrombie & Fitch was saying he wouldnt hire ugly people despite the fact that he looks like a goddamn ghoul
textbook ad hominem fallacy.

I'm worried that the guy will get in shit for breaking a review embargo. Is this a possibility?

also is the review embargo seriously on opening day lmao

if its really as bad as he says I doubt it'll affect him too badly
ever wondered why college professors generally wear shirts and blazers? because nobody would take them seriously if they wore a band t-shirt with some cargo shorts
Replying to an obvious troll, but I can say with experience that if a teacher (I'm speaking as a high schooler, not sure if this applies to college, guess I'll find out in about 2 years) dresses a little more casual and doesn't act pretentious, students are going to learn a bit better. There needs to be a sense of mutual respect there. Teaching is like handling a crowd. If you're boring and uptight, no one's going to care. If you're more warm, caring and respectful, your audience (students) are probably going to like you a lot more, and be more willing to listen to what you have to say.
Again, I can't say I know how colleges work, but considering how learning is pretty much improved by mutual respect, I say it can apply there as well.
Basically, it doesn't matter how you dress. It's about how you carry yourself, how you treat other people, and how you handle your own personality.

If he didn't sign an embargo agreement, there is no review embargo for him. That's how I think it is at least.

I'm not worried about other people, just the company behind the movie.
Well other people too. That guy who was posted + others are saying shit like "guy has a beard + broke the rules = shit opinion"

Oh good.
I don't understand how such a supposedly liberal movie would accept a stereotypical black woman from the hood character.
Any other early reviews out? I'm glad this movie is sounding like the trainwreck I knew it would be.
I would've liked to see this be a good movie.
I don't understand how such a supposedly liberal movie would accept a stereotypical black woman from the hood character.
this movie isn't liberal tbh
liberal would be "everyone is equal", this movie is "women are better than men". I don't know where this would be on the political compass but it's not liberal.

in the american politics spectrum "liberal" has changed in its definition several times. republicans used to be called "liberals" at one point, and now liberals are to the farthest of the left (democrats) as you can get. and the far far left are the ones almost looping around to the far far right, using the whole "women need to rise up over men" ideology.
in short: it's stupid
Wow, really. Defeating the final boss by[sp]shooting him in the dick[/sp]and having all the men be assholes or useless. Yeah, this totally wasn't made with an agenda or anything.
it kinda does
like, if you look or dress bad then that probably means you have bad taste
By that logic, we shouldn't hold the opinions of a handful of celebrities as anything credible because they are extravagant as hell.
Lady Gaga? You better not have the real cure for cancer, because nobody cares when you dress the way you do.
lol
if you have good taste in movies then you probably have good taste in clothing and haircuts as well, and a good sense of aesthetics
a good life philosophy is to never listen to the recommendations of someone who wears cargo shorts, for example
i have no idea who moviebob is but i google images'd him and i wouldn't follow his recommendations either
or jim sterling
This is so wrong...
So, if a person that dresses like literal CRAP, who other people who dress badly shit on aswell, actually has a good taste in movies, then he's wrong?
By your logic, we should see all the chick flicks ever made, because theres a good number of women who dress very well and would probably recommend garbage ass movies.
Holy shit, that doesn't even makes sense dude.
kubrick dressed pretty damn well mayne, he looks great in any picture he's in
ive seen the non-cropped version of that picture before and that's a cool-ass outfit, and with his confidence he manages to pull off the balding thing and look like a cool intellectual
uwe boll looks like an asshole who doesn't know what he's doing
if you think he's the well-dressed one here then that proves you don't know shit
And you DO realise you're basing yourself not on clothing or maybe even personal opinions, because hey guess what clothing IS a matter of personal opinion (excluding obvious bad choices), and ARE basing your opinion on Uwe Boll just being an asshole because he IS an asshole?
I intentionally messed my hair up in that picture to give it a sorta mugshotish aesthetic
that's also the reason i lit it like that, took it from straight on, put myself off-center, relaxed my face and made the colors warm and faded
maybe if you had a sense of aesthetics you would be able to tell that OOOOHHHHH
you sound like one of the most pretentious hipster faggots i've heard in my life, dude. you're an average looking guy at best, no need to cover up your insecurities by acting stuck-up about wearing ~*stylish and aesthetic*~ clothes which most ordinary people wont even notice or care about. i'm sure more people will like you that way.
Looking forward to seeing what the reviews are gonna be like tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong about it not doing that badly. When was the last time we even had a movie that so many people wanted to see fail horribly before it even came out, anyways? I'm drawing a blank.
at this point I want this movie to be the biggest flunk ever to show everyone behind it that hiding behind "its just sexism" doesn't fucking work
I'd rather this was a genuinely good movie deserving of like 5000 awards and a top 3 all time grosser, but the attitudes of t he people behind it have been frankly beyond unacceptable
[editline]9th July 2016[/editline]
even the people defending it are the worst

It makes sense that the movie is like this, I mean after all they deliberately marketed it as a "girl power" thing, and the media scandal over criticism of the trailer being based on misogyny seems convenient for marketing purposes too. I'm willing to say some executive deliberately angled it as a feminist film or something to find an audience for an otherwise shitty reboot of a series people long considered to have ended on a high note.

Fant4stic.
[editline]9th July 2016[/editline]
Which also bombed.
I don't understand why everyone is so worked up about this movie. Sure it's shit, but who cares? The original ghostbusters weren't even that great. Just fun, goofy 80s flicks.
I don't understand why everyone is so worked up about this movie. Sure it's shit, but who cares?
If its successful it'd set a bad precedent for this type of shitty pandering being acceptable. Especially after the marketing campaign that consisted solely of shitting over people with even the slightest concerns by running a smear campaign against them, labeling them "misogynistic man-babies stuck in their mothers basement".
Also its a remake that shits on the original, because we dont have enough of those.
The original ghostbusters weren't even that great. Just fun, goofy 80s flicks.
You know you're going to get your asshole inverted for saying that, right? Like, not even a giant Ghostbusters fan myself, but legit though dude.

I wouldn't say that the person is worked up. When I think of worked up I think of some guy screaming at the camera about how this isn't a true ghostbusters movie or that it's feminist. Complaints about how it has a skewed view of what feminism and female empowerment is are completely valid. Personally, I'm offended that hollywood is reusing previously existing movies because it's a safer investment especially when the movie is shit. Plus it's a movie shitting on men (so it seems), and I'm a man.
You know you're going to get your asshole inverted for saying that, right? Like, not even a giant Ghostbusters fan myself, but legit though dude.
I think you underestimating the maturity of ghostbuster fans. Sure elsewhere some people might go apeshit, but if anyone gets genuinely offended that someone thinks ghostbusters was fun and not great then idk what to say.

Bvs
Bvs
Before someone mentions it made 800 million, i want to point out that the Avengers got over a billion, a movie consisting of relatively obscure superheroes in comparison to Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
The fact that a movie with those three in it only did 800 million is kind of pathetic. WB even thought so, thats why they're desperately trying to fix Justice League.
Bvs
Almost 900 million is a flop?
Bvs
It is for a movie starring three of the most iconic fictional characters to have ever existed meeting on film for the first time in history.

DEADPOOL made 760 million, for reference.
And he was created a just about 20 years ago and only really got popular 8 years ago.
