Remind me of the time when a tree in my back yard was split down the middle by lightning.
Well at least it won't happen again because lightning never strikes the same place twi-

Nevermind
That sucks. As long as nobody was hurt it's all "good" I suppose.
Super glue that shit
First time my grandfather's place was struck my lightning it blew up his radio int he living room.
He put lightning rods on the roof after that.
The second time the house got struck it hit a lightning rod and went down the line but then jumped to the eaves and then to the phone line which then blew up a phone in the spare bedroom and set the room on fire.
At my old house, we had just sold it about a week before this happened. But a huge storm thing hit us, due to a hurricane in the northern part of Australia. The roof leaked and water got every where, soaked the walls, ceilings, carpet and even floorboards. Had to get the insurance company to fix everything as much as possible in about 3 weeks.
Lightning struck the satellite dish of our neighbor last summer too, but all it did was break some of the roof tiles, seems odd that the amount of damage is so different.
I'd feel safer than before, because lightning never strikes in the same spot twice!
Read OP: Lightning DID hit the same place twice :science:
If the new owner was in it he could have gone up and put out the fire immediately.
EDIT:
Nah putting out fires is dumb vote dumb for letting fires burn.
Most people's reaction to having their house stuck by lightning won't be to bolt to the location of the strike to put out fires. You have to thunderstand how scary it would be. The only thing that would've helped if the owner was home is if the owner had the bright idea to call emergency services for help.
Oh god, these puns are shockingly awful...
