Yeah, but it's like a neverending line: you are stressed, you get a cig, you get stressed because you didn't smoke in the past few hours, you smoke again, you are stressed again etc etc.

got cuban cigars in canada like 6 years ago. they were badass.
and than I put them somewhere and found 'em one year ago and they were stale, it was a bummer.

I used to smoke cigars a lot, and I commonly spent money on them in Iraq. Basically the trick is to get good quality ones and know how to smoke them.
Cigars are good from time to time, just don't get hooked.

You overestimate the influence of the officer rank and how little people care. No one is going to get pissy with a lieutenant because he's smoking a cigar. A cigarette might be a different story, but a cigar doesn't affect your performance like a cig does.

If you went into it thinking it would be cool then you already failed at grasping what makes them worth smoking. Smoking a cigar is not about being cool, it's about the taste and enjoying the experience. I will never understand why people smoke. It reduces stress sure but so can pills and sometimes exercising can do that.
Replace stress for Cancer/bad breath/bad teeth and then you'll have more stress than you did before!
