My friends all smoke cigars. Cool guys amirite?
Lets just face it people, anyone who smokes anything is stupid, and people who don't are obviously way smarter than them. Why in the hell would you INAHLE SMOKE regularly?
Everyone needs to get this through their head You don't inhale cigar smoke
Was it like smoking a dirty rolled up sock?
Also, smoking Cigars is way cooler than smoking cigs.
Obviously, they make you seem more sophisticated. To me the coolness factor is as follows: Smoking Pipes > Cigars > Cigs (I don't find cigs cool at all, period, but they are the main 3 and for the sake of this I put it in). However my point is that your not supposed to be smoking a pipe or cigar to look cool (even though IMO they do), that's not what they are for and if you go in trying some shit $1 cigar because you want to be in the "sophisticated/cool" (using that term loosely as it's a point of perception) class of smoking, you don't need to be smoking them until you've grown up (mentally) a bit. They are bad for you, anyone that denies that is a fool, and is the reason why smoking them to make yourself look "cool" makes me rage. If you are going to destroy your health, at least do it because you enjoy the damn thing, and as said by many already, it's hard to enjoy a $1 cigar anyway.
It's cool to the people who are stupid. Hopefully you won't smoke more and ruin your life.
I agree man. Don't start and you won't have the trouble of stopping.
Indeed I have :D I went to mexico last year and had 4 Cohiba Robo's. Im going back in a month or so and plan on bringing back 10 or so with me.
Unless you bought it from the official Cuban store, it was probably fake. This one place I went to looked authentic as shit but they were all counterfeits. Nice walk-in humidor, tons of different cigars, all counterfeit.
I smoke cigars. I had my first one at my grad party and I've been buying and smoking ever since. I choose to do so because of the taste, smell, and general camaraderie with friends. I find cigars acceptable because they're not very harmful. Really, the only possible downside is mouth cancer from the tar, but you'd have to smoke them ALL THE TIME to even get close. Other than that, you don't inhale, and it's non-addicting (besides mental). My first cigar was an Arturo Fuente, I think, and I really failed at it. The problem with new smokers is we're all too worried about not inhaling, because everyone makes it such a big deal. So I tried cigarillos. These are cigarillos. Think of them as the step in between cigarettes and cigars. These are much easier and better for beginners. Easier to smoke, and gets you "conditioned", as it were. And, as someone else mentioned, makes you appreciate the taste of real cigars later. Also, someone mentioned White Owl cigarillos in this thread... well, I went out and bought one, and honestly didn't like it. I was smoking with a friend for his first time and I had a Phillie and he had a White Owl and we switched for a minute. I found the White Owl too strong, with not enough flavor... it kind of burned my tongue a little, for some reason. Not that the flavor in this trash is noticeable, but still. :P So once you get used to smoking, go for a real cigar. I ordered some of these: From JRCigar (my favorite site). They were really, really good. Whereas cigarillos last you 15-20 minutes on average, the real thing (like these) will last a couple hours if you let it. But honestly, Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 is my all-time favorite. It was recommended to me by a guy in my College 101 class. :D Great stuff. The flavor is awesome, as is the smell. It lasts, too. I don't smoke to be cool. Cigars always intrigued me, and I wanted to try one for my graduation party... I did, and it took off from there. I don't smoke in public. I smoke with friends privately. If I do it at my house, I'm either on my porch or near the garage. If I'm in public, I stay by the car. I don't walk around town smoking and showing off. I don't care if other people see me. I do it because it tastes good, is an interesting experience, and gives you a little buzz. It's fun to do with friends to just sit back and relax. They're expensive, yeah, but nothing you can't afford to do a few times a month like me. The Excaliburs cost me like $25 for a box of 5. And the 8-5-8 I actually got from a cigar shop for like $7 or something. And if you really need to, you can settle for a junky cigarillo. I hope you learned something.

YOU DONT INHALE CIGAR SMOKE Got damnit, I thought most people knew that. Stop saying it's unhealthier than cigarettes, since you inhale cigarette smoke and you don't inhale cigar smoke. So you don't get lung cancer from cigar. But you can get tongue cancer and stuff like that. It's still healthier than cigarettes I would say. And I say that as a person who smoked like 2 cigars in my whole life, but I'm a cig smoker.
Notice the pinky hanging out of the pocket.
I thought that was his middle finger.
To those worrying about cigar smoking: The increased risk of health complications from smoking 1-2 cigars a day is statistically insignificant. For the average person, who smokes even less, the effects are almost nonexistant for your average healthy person.
Now get a top hat and be a classy motherfucker.
smoking is bad
Cigars make you cooler. Proven fact.

It's a cultural thing, therefore it can't be fully understood.
Whats so cool at smoking cigar??
The stench, the bad breath, the yellow EVERYTHING, he coughing and hacking up of phlegm. The struggle to make ends meet because you had to buy that carton before you paid bills. The cancer. The 20% lung capacity. Gasping for breath with what feels like the equivalent of a 300LB person sitting on your chest 24/7. The sex appeal of being in the fetal position and literally crying and begging for death and barely having the energy to get out of bed to shit, so you just go right there in your bed. Smoking is cool.
On my 18th birthday, I'm going to buy two cigars. One for me and one for my awesome step dad. A wise old man once said. If your gonna do cigars than do weed if your gonna do weed than do nothing.
Smoking causes Pregnancy. Don't do it.
I may not always smoke, but when I do I smoke Acids.
OP is in junior high and is suffering from peer pressure.
What do you expect from a 75 cent cigar.
