Rayven, you are fucking amazing. You would probably be the worst Inquisitor who ever lived.

He'd be using an oversized Inferno Pistol for a walking cane.

Now, as to why I turned it down:
Due to the odds of it not working at best, I decided to turn it down in favour of Cancer research and Homless shelters because 1. I've been homeless and know that a shelter getting funds can make a real difference to those that need it and secondly, a dear friend of mine has cancer, and I'd rather it go to help her, even though it may make only a small difference and on top of that, it will help cancer research and more than just me, or one person, it'll go towards every family who has to go through someone having cancer, and if i could relieve them a bit, or my friend, I'd gladly suffer through what I have. It's no choice really, relieve your own pain, or help many others even just slightly, well, to me there is only one correct decision.
I'd appreciate it if you took out the lump you put in my throat. <3
Donated $25
This is absolutely great, but why are we not donating directly to Cancer.org?

Because, as is not clearly mentioned, we decided to split up the proceeds. 50% Cancer Foundation 50% Homeless shelter. It's just that the banner and the OP aren't really clear about that. It is mentioned though.
Thats where the money wll be going.
We're just over $100!

You're awesome guys! All of you!
Gosh. This kind of hits me, as I too have scoliosis (but not that severe). It kind of makes you realize how you take such normal things for granted like your computer, or fresh water, or even a house.
Hell I'll see what I can chip in.
Chipped in 10 dollar.
I'd rather have it used for just homeless but i can live with 50%.
RayvenQ you remind me how computers and the internet allows people to be "normal", and allows people without these conditions to talk to these people as if they didn't have a handicap.
Thank you for your story.
And now that i think of it, i have a mild case of congenital scoliosis myself. In my case it just means i easily hurt my upper back when lifting heavy stuff.
Yeah, if it wasn't for the Internet, I'd have practically zero entertainment and zero contact with anyone really, without it, I think I'd go insane.
I was going to donate 10 dollars but Paypal is denying my card from being used on the payment for some reason.
Sorry.

Thats PayPal being crap, It wouldn't let me do some purchases earlier. I'll donate what I can later when I sell some more stuff.
My step sister developed hodgkins lymphoma (cancer in a lymph node) when she was about 22, then she had two kids, and is married and she's 29, she just won her battle with a grapefruit sized tumor in her brain.
Got about $30 in my account right now, donated $10 for now. Will do so again when I get some more funds.
I literally don't have any cash on me right now, but tomorrow I was going to help out my grandpa and earn some extra cash.
It's really cool that you guys are doing this. It's times like this that I'm reminded that not everyone on FP is a scumbag.

Looking at all the people who donated, I can support that statement.
Good luck to both of you on this project, its a great thing you're doing.
Got $158,38 USD so far!
Being underage and not owning any kind of card, I sadly can't donate, but I really appreciate what you all are doing.
It's not every day you see such a heartwarming group effort on the internet. You seem to be raising money quite fast as well! Facepunchers have a heart of gold. I really admire all of you who went through the trouble of making this work and especially Rayven himself for inspiring this. How does all the kindness fit inside you?
I was seriously going to put in $200, but PayPal locked my account and confiscated what they thought was laundered money :downs:

They can just take your money right that?
They can just take your money right that?
Yeah, they do that. We should be careful about our wallet too, if we would ever get over $2500 they'd probably freeze the account.

Ah..
Damn I was thinking of donating over $2500+ soon..
Is the American Cancer Society at the forefront of cancer research? It's just that I'm from Australia and I'd like to see the benefits of donation here as quickly as possible so I'd like to donate to the leading research group.

They do great work. If you google them you can get quite some news reports about them.
When I get paid I'll make sure to send an exorbitant sum of money
Just so you know the ChipIn link redirected me to Paypal Netherlands and I can't read this shit
