Anyone else suffer from Chronic Depression? I may be able to try and help you out, since I suffer it a lot of the time too, though not related to my condition. I'm planning on/am writing up a list of songs that have helped me get through it.
Enjoy your 40 dollars, gents. I figured that the tip money from FP would be best put towards this cause. There may be more coming. And I'm fairly sure I pushed you guys over to $500, I think. Halfway there!

I could also use something like that, I haven't got the diagnosis but rough times have been had. You're amazing Rayven <3
I'm just me, I can't really say anything else, it's just how I am. Still Compiling the list, it'll have a broad range of categories, so no taking the piss, I like what i like and what cheers me up cheers me up, thats as much as i can say. Oddly, songs that should be sad, tend to cheer me up too, though I dunno if that'd apply to everyone. Also, fun fact, the money raised so far could feed me for 16.5 weeks. Also thanks to Hoboharry, for gifting me From Dust since he had no way to donate.

I'm not that great a talker about problems, listener and problem solver, yeah, but i don't really like to talk about my problems, the other thread being a rare exception since i needed to vent.
What is being done here, is absolutely amazing. Here Rayven is, turning down possibly life saving surgery, to help others. This is a perfect example of what the rest of humanity needs to be like. Whatever money I get within the next few weeks, I'll try to donate!

And remember, the donations end on aug 26.

Got my results from my Blood test by the way (in which they must have drawn half a pint) Alls good, White blood count is good, I'm not aenemic, and apparantley my bone metabolism is excellent. Though I do kinda wish they had found something wrong with it, just so it could be treated and maybe help me.
Since the Ebay thing fell through I donated £10
Still working on that music list, ton of songs I'm going through, i'll get it done someday. In the meantime, here's a very beautiful song
13 more days and it's just a bit past halfway there right now
Yeah, I think donations pretty much halted right now. But we have raised an amazing sum of money and I'm very happy. I'll wait out the time limit though just to be sure.
Just posting to say how heart warming this thread is, my heart goes out to Rayven and everyone with similar pains.
How much has been raised so far?
Net (because PayPal loves to take money for itself) we have raised $567,85. [editline]25th August 2011[/editline] So now that the donations have ended Rayven and I were discussing what our next step is. Rayven still is low on money and can barely sustain himself. We, ofcourse, want to help the other people in need but Rayven's bored to death like this. That is why I wanted to ask if people would be OK with us using the money and buying Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine for Rayven. If a lot of people are against this or don't want us to use their money like this it won't happen. It is merely a suggestion. No decisions will be made without everybody knowing and agreeing. [editline]25th August 2011[/editline] So, we currently have $567,85. Space marine is $50. We will at that point have $517,85. This means either cancer.org gets $258.93 and the homeless shelter gets $258.93 or one of the groups gets $517.85. If too much people are against the idea cancer.org gets $283.93 and the homeless shelter gets $283.93 or one of the groups gets $567,85.
I didn't donate, but I think Rayven deserves Space Marine..
I just have to, none of the pain medications presented do a damn thing.
Have you tried smoking weed? I've heard it helps ease the pain.
It'd ease the pain about as much as putting a band aid on an amputated leg would.
I know that bumping or resurrecting a thread this old might be ban-worthy, but here me out. Is there any chance that we could resurrect the charity again? The website is still up, donation bar and all, and I think that after the holidays we all have some cash lying around. With all of the bad and unnerving news as of late, we could all do with a good cause to throw some weight behind, and this strikes me as something that would be perfect for taking our minds off of both the elections and world events as a whole.
It's kinda messed up, cause Asgard doesn't have the means to transfer other than paypal, and charities tend not to use those. We could, however, raise money for This Person if they are legit, the money has been just sitting there, and I thought it better used to help someone who actually needs it than just sit around and do nothing.

I think it's stuff like this that shows that Facepunch is truly more of a community than we get credit for.
I thought I'd make it clear in this thread that the money has indeed been donated to her.
