All sorts of actors in this show, got the guy who played Finn from Sopranos, that woman from Medium. James Cromwell, etc. Where's Adrien Brody?
Nobody noticed Ned Luke as the loud mouth poker player in the last nights episode?
I did. It's like as soon as GTA V came out Ned Luke and Steven Ogg have been popping up in shows and what not. Though I'm pretty sure it wasn't shot last week.
Shit, this episode was one of the most powerful in the entire series. Certainly the saddest one. And [sp]that ending, Christ. Hate to see two of my favourite side characters dead in one episode.[/sp]
That was good episode, but idk how I felt about that ending. [sp] I didn't see it coming, but I don't mean that in a good way. Eddie's death just seemed out of the blue, like there wasn't enough build-up to it. Frank Capone's death, on the other hand, was the highpoint of that episode. I was really getting to like his character if only because he gave Nelson the respect he deserved. It made me feel when he died, and the acting on the part of Capone's actor really sealed the deal.[/sp]

[sp]I was expecting that it's going to happen, and seeing how it happened in this episode only shows the brilliancy of this show. Build-up was this entire episode, it was all about it. All discussion that Nucky had with his nephew could be easily connected with Eddie. Specifically the monologue about 'blood', saying that even that Nucky and Eddie were almost like brothers, he would never receive the same treatment as anyone from Nucky's family. I love how suddenly this mysterious and seemingly non-relevant character received amazing backstory and got to play such big role. One thing I didn't understand, what was the meaning of the moment with Nucky and socks? Was it Nucky's way of proving that he's unable to do basic things without Eddie, or was it to show that Nucky still sees Eddie as a butler that will only clean after him?[/sp]
That last bit confused me as well. [sp] When I watched it I thought Nucky was gesturing for Eddie to shine his shoes. It wasn't until I went online afterwards and read the Rolling Stone recap that I realized Nucky was wearing mismatched socks. I don't think Nucky was alluding towards any incompetence on his own part to match his socks (although I don't see how him getting mismatched socks is Eddie's fault.) I think it represented the fact that even though Nucky promised Eddie more respect and a more important, more equal role in the business, deep down inside Nucky still just sees Eddie as his man servant to boss around and do self-degrading work for him.[/sp]
Oh shit, I missed the show last night. These comments look like its going to be a good one.
[sp]I would've prefered it if Frank stayed alive, I think his personality clashed with Al's really well and could've led to some interesting things. Now it just seems Al may go on a murderous rampage, which is still entertaining nonetheless[/sp]
[sp]eddie nooooooo :'([/sp]
[sp]eddie nooooooo :'([/sp]
Didn't expect that at all...
[sp]I was happy that Eddie survived that bullet wound last season. Too bad he didn't make it through this one... unless he landed on a truck full of mattresses or something[/sp]
I can't believe there isn't more hype surrounding this show, I mean I know it's not Breaking Bad or anything, but it deserves a large following, the production value is immense. [sp]I was a bit surprised Eddie killed himself too, I thought at the end he was writing a confession or some shit to the authorities and just about to book it the fuck out of there to some place to chill for the rest of his life. Then again if I was someone's little nutrider bitch and spent 33% of my life at someone's feet, I'd probably want to kill myself too.[/sp]
the cinematography was great [t]http://i.minus.com/ib09ndQQO27DTC.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/ibx5i48vdzVp1E.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/iAh0bY6qa9rT0.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/iJMEC9JYUAycH.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/iJ7TCTzwSvdqo.jpg[/t][t]http://i.minus.com/iRRDnmycrGHHv.jpg[/t]
This series is pretty awesome, I'm at S2E3 or something, and I gotta say my favorite character is that prohibition agent who [sp]is extremely religious, flogged himself, drowned his corrupt partner, and that fucking 13th(?) anniversary with his wife.[/sp] :v:
the cinematography was great
The one thing about BE I probably admire the most is the artistic quality, value and integrity. I mean, I really enjoy the other aspects of this show too, but they do the artistic stuff so well I had to point it out like this.

That was depressing :(
Yeah, my only complain about visuals would be the CGI that in first seasons was so blatant and fake to the point it pulled me out of watching for a moment.
I really feel a lot of the special effects this season are just fucking lazy.
"He ain't nothing but a nigger with a dictionary" Man I love Chalky White
Oh man that was an intense episode. [sp]Loved it when Chalky burned the heroine in front of the doctor[/sp]
I really love the direction in that series. Damn, [sp]that fight between Chalky and that other one guy was so intense and so well directed, really, it's Breaking Bad tier.[/sp]

[sp] "One thing you ain't mention buck.." "What?" "How much he payin you to fuck me?" That scene was masterfully shot. My favorite in the entire series so far. [/sp]
Oh man that was a good episode. FINALLY [sp]Alden becomes the badass he used to be after being super boring for the past two seasons[/sp]
[sp]"My name is Nelson van Alden."[/sp] So good, so many great scenes. [sp]Part of me wants this series to shit all over historical context and have Nelson kill Capone and become the biggest gangster of Chicago and Cicero.[/sp]

Anyway, I have to admit, this is a pretty strong season.
Goddamn. I've been waiting for this.
Man it just frustrates me how this show is so underrated. I feel like no one knows about it when I think its probably one of my favorite shows of all time.
This and Game of Thrones are the best show's out now (3rd was Breaking Bad)

It is basically the best directed and acted show on TV right now imo. Just so fucking good. Hopefully now that Breaking Bad is over more people will watch this, they might be looking for a new fave show
