Doesn't mean it's just a free for all, tag your shit. It's lazy and inconsiderate not to. If you can't tag, don't bother posting. No one appreciates having something spoiled for them. You've been here long enough, you should know better.
I really liked the premiere, lots of story telling in such a short time-span.

no sorry people should know better than to go into a thread about a tv show when an episode has just aired if they don't want something spoiled unless they're fucking stupid
Is it really that agonizing to spend extra 10 seconds adding spoiler tags?
no sorry people should know better than to go into a thread about a tv show when an episode has just aired if they don't want something spoiled unless they're fucking stupid
Other people are stupid because you're too self-absorbed, lazy or inconsiderate to spoiler tag your posts?
So anyone who wants to come in to the thread to discuss past seasons of the show, or characters, or anything relating to the show at all outside of the most recently aired episode should fuck off? You sir, are the one that is stupid. This thread, and others like it, do not exist solely for you. It's not here for you to vomit out your 1 sentence spoiler posts for others to stumble across, because you're incapable of the smallest sign of respect towards those around you. This forum is a community and a community thrives when people think outside of themselves.
"Read beyond the OP at your own risk. While it is strongly recommended to exhibit courtesy by continuing to spoiler tag content beyond the OP, this is not required unless specified otherwise."
While you probably read that and thought "lol cool, can't get banned for it, why bother", other, more considerate forum goers would take away from that that they should "exhibit courtesy by continuing to spoiler tag content beyond the OP".

I always go into threads about new seasons/series even I have never seen them. But I scroll frantically up and down not to spot any spoilers.
Then I scroll all the way down, seeing barely 1/3rd of the latest post, and then I type my own response, like.. "Yay new season!"
[editline]9th September 2014[/editline]
I also never watch Trailers.. Anyway, new season sure started with a bang! Loved every minute of it. Finally some good shit to rest my eyes on.
Loved the premiere. [sp]I thought the Nucky/Eli flashbacks were done well, and Luciano's rise is gonna be intense. I absolutely loved his final scene with the blood pacts; best scene of the premiere imo[/sp]
The retrospection of beginnings of Atlantic City, The Commodore and Nucky falls under category "I never knew I wanted this, but now I want more and more."
Damn, this season is shaping to be the best of them all, despite the time jump and lack of [sp]Rothstein.[/sp] I absolutely adore how the tables have turned and we've got many new dynamics between characters. Also love the constant foreshadowing and new characters.
I never thought I'd say this, but the time jump was the best thing that happened to this series ever. It changed literally every dynamic in the show there was, twisted and blended every relations. Jesus fuck, I've never expected Boardwalk Empire to reach a level that high. Everything is top notch - retrospections with Nucky are amazing, the impossible task to find a younger actor that remotely resembles Steve Buscemi was done brilliantly, but the rest of subplots is also ingenious (the twist with [sp]Torrio standing behing Luciano and Lensky took me off guard, even though I was a bit familiar with the general backstory of the series[/sp]) - Capone, Eli, Nelson triangle, Chalky's redemption.
Jesus, it's the best season there was, and of the best seasons HBO has ever released from any series, and that is saying something. If the pacing and quality maintains, we'll get the ending we truly deserve.
Agreed, this season really hasn't let down in any way whatsoever so far. Most of all I love Capone's, Nelson's and Eli's scenes, they're a kind of different tone but so brilliantly done and they always fit in so nicely.
And that younger Buscemi look-a-like really was a suprisingly good choice.
no sorry people should know better than to go into a thread about a tv show when an episode has just aired if they don't want something spoiled unless they're fucking stupid
people like you piss me off, like is it so hard to use spoiler tags. It's shit like this makes me afraid to ask a simple question without worring like if X show or Y games is good.

But anyway's back to the show I [SP]Feel Sorry for that woman in the Asylum who was worried about having her teeth removed but instead what well did happen god that nasty and sad.[/SP]
But anyway's back to the show I [SP]Feel Sorry for that woman in the Asylum who was worried about having her teeth removed but instead what well did happen god that nasty and sad.[/SP]
IIRC the asylum, the fucking mental doctor, the experiments and the idea that mental disease sits within human body is based on a real shit that happened in that period.
Well, fuck.
[sp]For both of them that was a beautiful and fitting departure, but my heart still aches.[/sp]
Man that was fucking crazy [sp]I knew Van Alden and Chalky had to go since they were fictional characters, but 2 in one episode is crazy. And the way Van Alden went was fucking crusome, some unreal CGI and makeup there. I think that kid is lying about his name, I think it's Tommy. And fucking Mickey still out living everybody[/sp]
FUCKING GOD DAMN
the way this show handles fights and deaths and stuff like that is amazing like the buildup to [sp]Van Alden's death[/sp] had me on the edge of my seat, and then when it actually happened I screamed HOLY SHIT without even thinking about it, it was so intense
IIRC the asylum, the fucking mental doctor, the experiments and the idea that mental disease sits within human body is based on a real shit that happened in that period.
I know that's what make's it sad. if it where fiction it wouldn't faze me but now it make's me depress.
I'm kinda at a loss for words. This show is truly one of the best of all time.
[sp] Rip in piece Nelson you insane man, and of course Chalky who at least died with a smile on his face. [/sp]
Fun fact: As of now we've [sp]lost all main characters whose actors are named "Michael" in real life - Pitt in Season 2, and now Stuhlbarg, Shannon, and Kenneth Williams in 5th.[/sp]
Well because this thread doesn't get much action, I'd figured I would post some of my favorite clips of the series. [sp]Involving the now dead characters.[/sp]
Playback is disabled on all of them.

Holy fuck, it's incredible how every episode is twice much better than previous, and it started already in a god tier.

[sp]Fuck, and there I was thinking that Mickey will make it till the end. Same as Archie.[/sp]
Oh, and that letter? One of the most heartbreaking things I saw on the television.

[sp]I was thinking Mickey would outlive everyone, but nope :([/sp]
also, I'm really quite surprised that they managed to find a guy that looks like a young Steve Buscemi, considering nobody in the world looks like Steve Buscemi
My prediction for the last scene
A man with a bandaged neck appears
Fade to black
Doylelaugh.
