My prediction for the last scene A man with a bandaged neck appears Fade to black Doylelaugh.
My favourite theory about ending? Nucky loses everything he ever had, but his life is spared. He have to retire somewhere peaceful He looks for the last time at the bay in Atlantic City and sees a boat with first shipment of booze for new boss. Something happens and entire load is thrown into the ocean. Bottles of rum appear on the shore. Nucky leaves smoking his cigarette. [sp]The "intro is actually ending scene" trope never gets old[/sp]
I really don't want this to end. And I really don't want it to end in just one more episode. That's just too freaking short.
So the finale's coming tonight. I'll watch it tomorrow, but I hate when good things come to an end. Still upset from last night, when I watched Battlestar Galactica's finale. Seriously, TV show endings make me very uncomfortable no matter how good or bad they are. Dang.
....that finale. holy shit.
Whyyyyy
So I just finished S2 and I don't understand that ending. [sp]Why the fuck did Nucky kill Jimmy and not Eli? They both betrayed him more or less equally. He's obviously not gonna believe (or shouldn't) either of them when they point the finger at eachother for who tried to have him shot, but come on. Jimmy was basically the center of attention. I didn't even really *like* him, his arc was just interesting to follow. The only person I genuinely like on the show at this point is AR.[/sp]
Wow. Even though the [sp]twist of the kid being Jimmy's was already guessed, the killing of Nucky was surprising because I thought he would live like his real life counterpart did. Was a very good ending. Might not of been loads of action but the past few episodes pretty much covered all of the action. Satisfying as fuck[/sp]
"Mrs. Thompson said you want to be good, but you don't know how." Woah. It's going to be a challenge to find more tragic TV character than Enoch Thompson.
I had no idea that was the finale. [sp]The best part was I didn't see the ending coming because I didn't know it was the last episode.[/sp] I can't believe they only did 8 episodes... I just want so much more...
RIP, it was a good series. Maybe someday I'll watch it over again.
