It was awful watching him be booed by the crowd purely because he isn't Alonso.
If I was Alonso I would have told the supporters to shut the fuck up and that Lewis is a great driver.
Schumacher just announced that this will be his last season of racing in F1. [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] Oh well, it will be interesting to see what Hamilton can do in Mercedes!

I really hoped Schumacher would take Massa's spot at Ferrari. I don't see why Hamilton is going to Mercedes GP anyway..
Bump. Very, very excited to watch the Austin GP tomorrow! Even though it's on pretty much the only sports channel that I DON'T get in HD, I'm still happy about it. Brand new track, 3 most elevation change among this year's circuits, and back in a Country F1 hasn't been to since 2007. I'm super new to F1 btw. This is basically the 2nd race I'll be watching. I caught the majority of Abu Dhabi, which was my fist time ever watching F1 besides videos from former seasons. Looks like Sebastian Vettel is gonna definitely place in pole position, if not win. He was like ~1sec faster than ever one in today's practice. I'm a huge Ferrari fan, so I'm rooting for them more so than any other team. They are all great though.
If Raikkonen doesn't end the season in 2nd I'll march over to Finland myself and tell him that I am very displeased
Thank god for this thread. I want to know which one is better?
Not sure how you guys feel, but I certainly loved the Austin race! Who expected Lewis Hamilton to pull an overtake like that?! Also, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa finishing 3rd and 4th. Great driving by both of them. Today's race wasn't perfect (those damn tires...), but it still was quite a success. I'm looking forward to F1 coming back to America for years to come.
Decent race, sorta fizzled out towards the end and got a little boring. Some solid overtaking from Raikkonen though. I really don't like the track, it annoys me how much run-off area modern tracks have these days - it just ruins any element of excitement and risk and allows drivers to get off with mistakes a hell of a lot easier.
I'm very surprised to find out Tilke designed Circuit of The Americas. Seems like for once, he designed a pretty damn good track. Part of it is the elevation change though. Too many of the other tracks he's designed are really flat. Also, I guess it does have a lot of runoff. If they didn't design it to be so open, so that as much of the track is visible as possible, it may of not ended up with so much runoff. Another thing is that it's weird how turn 1 is pretty much the toughest turn. Starting a lap out with the trickiest turn feels weird. The S turns and the turns after the long straight are pretty good though.
Maldonado is having a hard time keeping away from his competitors. I swear, every race he has the urge to ram into someone. Solid driving from Kimi as always. I suppose you do what you can with the Lotus.
The one with no melamine. On a serious note, I totally missed the american gran prix. Suddenly F1 died here so I had no info on the last few races.
Alonso is having a bad time now...
The grid for the final race of the season for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
I'd love to see Schumacher win today. That would be sweet. Winning your last race. I doubt this is going to happen though :(
I'd love to see Schumacher win today. That would be sweet. Winning your last race. I doubt this is going to happen though :(
Or at least reaching the podium, but looking at the Mercedes' performances the last five races, something insane has to happen to do that.
Just cross your fingers and hope Grosjean performs his magic. [editline]26th November 2012[/editline] His magic causes wonders for podium finishes of others.
Hm. If there is rain, I hope for another 2003. That was fun. [editline]25th November 2012[/editline] oh my god this is so exciting oh my god oh my god [editline]25th November 2012[/editline] oh my god [editline]25th November 2012[/editline] oh my god
Holy shit. Apparently Vettel now has some work to do. Surprisingly (not) it was Senna who knocked him around?
That was one hell of a finale. (spoilerish)
That was some fucking intense shit. Also image above is technically a spoiler, don't click if you plan on watching later [sp]alonso is sad :([/sp]
best race I've watched in my life time, easily. brilliant season, can't wait til next year
I missed the first 20 laps but holy crap the rest was intense. Kinda feel bad for Hamilton though, would have been a perfect end to his career with McLaren.
What a race that was. So much action, shame that Hulkenberg couldn't make 1st though.
Just found this on YouTube.
Just found this on YouTube.
Kimi Räikkönen is my all time favourite.
Yeah, I laughed at that. I was thinking that he wasn't going to find a way out of there. I didn't know the race was a bit of an early one, so I turned it on late. I still got to catch a lot of the action though. I thought the rain was going to make everyone pussyfoot around, but boy was I wrong. The suspense from everyone, especially Alonso, driving on shot tires because they weren't sure if they should go with intermediate tires or not was so thrilling. Can't wait til next season!! Also, SPEED (US channel) said this was their last year broadcasting F1. I only get SPEED in SD, so I'm hoping whatever channel it gets moved to for next year is one I get in HD. Anyone know what channel F1 is moving to in the US?
I was hoping Räikkönen would end up driving onto the main public road outside the track. Great race!
[sp]vettel fuck him cunt tosser faggot[/sp]

Man the Brazilian Grand Prix has always been the best race in the whole season every season. I hope it stays as the last race for future seasons too, best way to end the season ever.
