I liked the movie too. Especially when Kasuf eats the chocolate bar.
Bunny? Bunny Way! :v:
I loved this scene ever since I first saw it

Haha, I was just watching that episode too.
I liked the parts in SG-1 that focused on the characters (they're good I must admit,) the secret ops "shush shush we have a magical gate to another world", going through the gate to some alien world and exploring just like in the movie and dealing with science fiction dilemmas like the time loops and all such.
Then it got stupid, power inflation that would make Son Goku envious. I hated how they sucked the magic out of the movie with their Goa'uld bullshit and ridiculous gate mechanics. Pissing all over the backstory, speaking English all over the universe (ironically for a series spun off from a film that had freaking ancient egyptian in it) and just plain ripping off so much shit. Especially trying way too hard to be like Star Trek... I just said fuck it and started actually watching Star Trek. Much better.
Atlantis is just more idiotic bullshit except now I don't care about any of the characters either, GG.
Don't even want to think what Universe has done to my beloved continuity.
Does anyone remember what episode the clip is from that goes:
Cameron Mitchel (I think) is sitting in the commander chair of the Daedalus and tells the guy next to him to 'prepare to fire weapons'.
To which the guy responds, "Uh, for the record, I'm always ready, I just have to push this button right here..."

Season 10: Episode 9 Company of Thieves.
And it was Jackson who said it.

Are you sure it was Jackson?
I think the reason why SGU is crap compared to the rest is because they have no center of humor. SG1 had dozens of em, SGA had one or two (Mostly McKay), SGU is just like "fuck humor, MAKE IT SAD AS SHIT".
[editline]11:43PM[/editline]
I remember the first SG1 episode I watched. I think it was Red Sky. I was confused as fuck, but after 3 or 4 episodes I was like "holy shit this is awesome".
Nostalgia :frown:
Are you sure it was Jackson?
Yep. 100% Considering I just watched that episode.
Lifeboat is creepy as hell...
I just got done watching The Serpent's Venom, one of the few episodes with the Tok'ra I actually enjoyed.
I liked Upgrades. Vanessa Angel <3<3
Stargate quality goes in series order.
SG-1: Best
Atlantis: Good
Universe: Meh
Definitely ^this^. SG-1 had a great storyline, solid (original) cast, and great idea all-round. They've played so many Atlantis reruns I can't stand to watch it anymore, and although I don't mind SG:U, it seems like they took Lost and gave it a Stargate twist.
I'm hoping they cancel it if it hasn't been already, and wish they'd make another Stargate movie; One involving SG-1 that doesn't play off a story from the series. You know, so those unfamiliar with the series can follow it. It might revive the fan base.
I love Stargate. Still have the original movie on vhs. SGA is my favorite and really close behind is SG1 but I just can't watch SGU, it's unable to catch my attention.
Haha just saw this.
Are they HD DVD quality?
Lol HD DVD.
They have all the seasons of the Stargate tv series on Netflix. :iia:
Rodney McKay. :h:
I might re-watch Atlantis a third time now you have brought it up. I watched SG1 last (and Universe when the eps released) so it is Atlantis' turn again.
My one complaint about SGA is how many times the god damn Jenai make an appearance.
I forgave them because they're led by Chief O' fucking Brien.

The best episodes of SG1, I think, were tthe ones where they don't got through the gate at all and just adventure round earth. It was quite well done. Plus there's this quote:
Jack O'Neill: We brought pizza and a movie.
Teal'c: Star Wars.
Jack O'Neill: He's seen it, what? Eight times?
Teal'c: Nine.
Jack O'Neill: Nine times. If Teal'c likes it, it's gotta be okay.
Major Samantha Carter: You've never seen Star Wars?
Jack O'Neill: Well, you know me and sci-fi.
SG1: Good
Atlantis: Best
Universe: Not good not bad will hopefully improve like it did in season 1.5 onwards
[editline]10:38AM[/editline]
I watched that recently while watching though SG-1
I adore Stargate Universe, probably because I don't give a shit about the other series.

Yeah, that'll be why then. Also, you have no taste in drama.
I want a Stargate 2. :(
I can understand why you might like SG-1, but Atlantis? I saw one episode, 20 seconds in I had rolled my eyes so hard I could only see the back of my head. Idiocy was the one word that kept crossing my mind and it was all a bunch of moronic tripe.
Needless to say I never watched another episode again.
Yet you continually list is as either "good" or "decent".
Thats what i thought at first but then i sat down and watched it and liked it.
I saw one episode
Theres your problem

You judge a series by one episode. You sir are retarded.
Theres your problem
No it isn't. Unless this one episode was from a completely different show.
Which it wasn't.
And I honestly have no patience whatsoever for acquired tastes.
SG1 - verry good
Atlantis - the best
universe - horrible
having to watch more than 20 seconds in is hardly an aquired taste.
Ba'al is also the best Stargate bad guy, ever.
Like to know about his failsafe, and whether it may be known in Revolution.
SG1 went downhill very fast after Ben Browder came to the show. Although there were some good episodes with him... '200' being the most memorable.
The SG1 movies were also really terrible. Ark of Truth had some big plot holes (or at least I remember there being big plot holes) and Continuum was just downright terrible (it's saving grace was Ba'al); It's like they forgot that Daniel had no leg for half the movie.
