The chief pilot is a man of few words. The captain looks like a tool, but the co-captain looks like a real pilot.
What? Probably not. I don't know for sure but have you ever had a look at the A380 flight deck? It's a goddamn computer lab.
The 787 is fly-by-wire and has glass panel instruments. They are pretty similar. Can't find a real picture I think this is just a simulator.

They've long gone over to fly-by-wire just like Airbus but the pilot input is way more unfiltered. Airbus has a goddamn complex system for handling pilot input which changes it's state in every flight phase. Can't actually judge them really or give you any detailed experiences because I have obviously not flown them.
Can't wait to see this.
The A380 is outdone by the Dreamliner in other fields.
It's not like they're competitors.
Just to clarify, the Boeing 787 was not built for massive loads of people like the A380. The 787 was built to be a lot lighter and therefore be able to stay in the air longer so it could do more direct flights to places farther away, and get better fuel consumption rates. Airbus's answer to the 787 is the A350, but they still have yet to assemble one or complete the design.

Seen the video. Nice to see it fly, but I'm quite worried about those wings. They're awful flexible, and that plane isn't exactly fully loaded. [editline]03:39AM[/editline]
The A380 is outdone by the Dreamliner in other fields.
All you need is one of the joysticks, those two pedals, the throttle controls, a compass, a working roll/pitch indicator and a radio link to fly it. You don't need to know a damn thing about any of the rest of that stuff. Taking off/landing may prove tricky, but anyone who's ever played flight sims could fly it once it's in the air.

[editline]03:39AM[/editline]
Thats how it's supposed to be. Trust me, they test these things so much that every sort of things is accounted for. Those wings I assure you are incredibly sturdy. [editline]01:45AM[/editline]
It's not like they're competitors.
Yeah, we should be looking to Airbus and their new A350 for comparisons.

Those wings I assure you are incredibly sturdy.
I guess it's just me being used to metal wings. If a metal wing bent that much under load, it'd likely snap off entirely. This plane is entirely composite, I suppose it would be a bit more flexible than an aluminum aircraft.
A Boeing 787. Bit like the Airbus A380 "Superjumbo".
No, it's not like like an A380, a 747 is more like an A380. The Beoing 787 is a "green" plane that is apparently 20% more fuel efficient because it's made of some super light composite material. [editline]06:16PM[/editline]
The A380 is outdone by the Dreamliner in other fields.
How can you compare the two? :psyduck:
