Who cares, it's more engaging and entertaining than some dude and his laptop jumping up and down like a muppet.
I don't mind if it's like pre-recorded stuff playing back when they actually put effort into the show. Hell most DJ's do the same trick where its all premixed and stuff, so they just hit play but they put in effort to make it presentable.
Look at some of Deadmou5's live shows, sometimes he does mix on stage other times he just hits play but puts on a really good show.

It was at Dreamhack, much like the "DJ" in the OP, showcasing one good performance compared to a bad. As well, much like Zenpod said, Sabaton's synth stuff is prerecorded, showing that you can do prerecoreded stuff and have a damn good show.

yeah, but I wasn't talking about the 'realness' of it (which I agree is a whole load of BS), but the fact that at the same venue, for the same thing, there was a damn [I]good performance[/I]. If the "DJ" in the OP put some effort into what he did, it wouldn't be shit.

I actually really appreciate "realness". If I had to choose between a rock band with skilled musicians that don't play pre-recorded music and a """DJ""" that plays the same songs as the band on his laptop I'd choose the band without a doubt.
Personally, to me it matters if the DJ, or Band, or Artist puts on a good show.
I don't care about the genre, just be fucking entertaining, make the crowd go wild.
To be fair, the crowd was absolute shit.

if you maybe read more of the thread and realized that these were both at Dreamhack than yea.
its about putting on a performance, something the DJ in the OP failed to do. Trust me, I can get enjoyment out of pretty much any genre of music, but the performer has to be doing his part as well; putting on a good show.
