The story is actually a "bloggified" version of a short story which someone wrote and in the story they do have a proper ending which explains things more.

FUUUUUUUUUU-
I just spent about 2 hours reading the "bloggified" version, now I have to read it all over again to find out how it ends.
Dude, don't believe anything on the internet! It's just bullshit.
Don't even believe this.
ever since finding the slender man thread I've been looking over my shoulder and freaking out at the nearest sound, I now have to sleep with some form of a light on whether it be the T.V. or the light itself, its becoming kind of sad but no matter how much I tell myself its fake or stop thinking about it or looking at the scary thread's, I still get freaked, I've actually always wanted to enjoy scary thing's, but I just cant seem to do it.?
I know exactly how you feel
At night I can't even leave my room without a flashlight
Slendy himself isn't often much scarier than any of those other images that have a concealed ghost in them. However, Marblehorntes is pretty grade A mindfuck.
you do know Slender man is fake right?
I get scared by things easily too, I've never watched a scary movie in my life. The trick is to just NOT WATCH SCARY THINGS. I read some stuff about Slenderman, but never watched the videos. I've read about the traps and plot of all the Saw movies, but never watched Saw. I know who won in Freddy vs Jason but I've never seen anything that has to do with either of them. If you know that something is scary and you know you will be scared by it don't watch it. If you do watch it, don't bitch about it.

I do this. Watching it cements it in your memory and you will never forget it because it's scary.

This.
I have a hyperactive imagination, so for example that caving story made me wary for a day or so.
That caving story was funny.
OP, The soloution for you to get over your fear is to Read This all the way to the end.
Why hasn't he updated since 2001? What happened to him?!
The damned cave and its stupid symbol killed him didnt it.
I believe anything is possible. But shit like slenderman I don't think about much. Possible, sure, likely, probably not.
Fear of the unknown is simply fear of death from the unknown. Don't fear death from it, the unknown becomes the same as a fly on the wall, out of mind.
Here, buy my pubic hair for just $ 16 dollars, so you can be a Man
You got scared cuz of the Max Headroom tv intrusion?

Oh wow.
