plus with the combo of comedy, interesting, and scary SCPs, it would be hard for the game to find a general feel or genre
[QUOTE=MightyMax;32475968]I don't think an SCP game will work well, A lot of scp's don't have enough information, and there aren't a lot of them.[/QUOTE]
There are plenty of fun SCPs. And even if there isn't enough information that just gives the game and story developers some creative leeway with the "artifacts"
Examples of good SCP for a game. Some are good for antagonists and bad guys, and others are good for use in missions in some way.

I found all those in the 001-099 list(except 682). So there is potential for many more.
I remember having nightmares about this one. [url]http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-996[/url]
[QUOTE=strayebyrd;32476740]plus with the combo of comedy, interesting, and scary SCPs, it would be hard for the game to find a general feel or genre[/QUOTE]
Which is why you choose which genre and stick with SCPs that fit it. You don't have to show every single SCP in the wiki to make a SCP game.
[QUOTE=Red Toaster;32447245]the mass transit ticket one is creepy[/QUOTE]
which number is that?
[QUOTE=CharlesMan;32475385]Okay I had this idea for an SCP
Basically it's a sewer drain on the side of a road right
But every time anyone fishes in it, a fish will bite. EVERY TIME. Actually getting the fish out is a matter of skill, but still. A fish. The fish is otherwise completely normal, and the breed changes every time.
Any attempts to explore said drain find that there are no fish whatsoever down there (Until a fishing line comes down, at which point one just...Shows up), and in fact the drain's system doesn't seem to be connected to any other drains, and goes in several circles.
Best SCP y/y?[/QUOTE]
With a sufficient automated fishing system you could feed a vast population.
[QUOTE=credesniper;32476810]I remember having nightmares about this one. [url]http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-996[/url][/QUOTE]How does that give you nightmares?
How has nobody posted SCP-1459-j yet?
[URL="http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-1459-j"]http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-1459-j[/URL]
I just realized, since they now have 1000+ series SCP's shouldn't everything 1 through 999 be prefaced by an extra 0? (i.e. 0001 or 0999)
[QUOTE=pyschomc;32476982]which number is that?[/QUOTE]
This one I think.

I've actually been thinking about contacting them about that.
But probably not any time soon.
I cant even believe you guys havent posted this one yet

So I just finally applied for membership there, hopefully I'll get accepted. I think that this is a great way to improve my writing, especially in this genre which I've just dabbled with a bit.

Note: This is the third time we’ve had a wave of reports from SCP-336 regarding sexually confused staff. Not only are you causing undue stress, but think of the people who have to worry about catching the “gay”. Remember, you’re not just breaking rules…you’re breaking people’s hearts. - Dr. ██████
Addendum: To all of you (angry) male staff who thought it would be hilarious to move this into my quarters and detonate it, I'd like to suggest that you watch "The Shawshank Redemption" for clues as to why it didn't take. Heck, do it anyway, it'll give you something to do while you wait to be reassigned to Keter duty.
- Dr. Clef.
Note: Despite many requests, no, we will not expose SCP-230 to SCP-252. I don't care how funny "The Gayest Gay Man Alive" sounds. - Dr. ██████

You should pop into IRC, we're generally pretty friendly as long as you don't act like a dunce (aside from Bright and Pooryoric).
[QUOTE=StormHammer;32475892]I remember the last SCP foundation thread on Facepunch nose-dived and nobody liked it, wonder why its so popular this time?[/QUOTE]
This time there's a memetic pattern in the title.

This would be an awesome SCP for a video game. Operation Pariah seems like fun.
Remember SCP-173? Yes, the creepy-as-all-hell Euclid that snaps your neck when you're not looking. Well, someone made a revised article of [URL=http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/revised-entry]what would happen if it replicated exponentially and escaped.[/url]
[quote]The only good news is that about 150 of the bastards teamed up and ripped SCP-682 apart. Brought a smile to my face.[/quote]
Also found this video on TVtropes, which is supposedly of SCP-173 in action. Too bad I'm too much of a pussy to watch the video and verify it.

Yes that video is of SCP-173, and I'd probably enjoy it more if it didn't decide to drop any accuracy to the function of the SCP by doing what it did at the end

I found it creepier. The entire idea that an SCP so utterly dangerous could break loose and depopulate the Americas in days if not hours is horrifying.
I totally forgot about this site. Thank you for the best time kill ever.
I had my own idea for an SCP:
*SCP-XXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX is to be held within a large bunker, approx. 16*16m. The bunker is to be made of [DATA EXPUNGED] and is to be guarded by a team of 400-600 fully armed personnel. Assisting each guard is the 6th Armored Division. The bunker is located in [DATA EXPUNGED] approx. [DATA EXPUNGED]m underground.
In the event of escape all Foundation personnel are to prepare for a class-A Armageddon event.
Description: SCP-XXX is [DATA EXPUNGED] mixed with a [DATA EXPUNGED] to form a [DATA EXPUNGED]. It is capable of [DATA EXPUNGED] and [DATA EXPUNGED] and commonly [DATA EXPUNGED]. It [DATA EXPUNGED] it's [DATA EXPUNGED] and usually [DATA EXPUNGED] it's victims. SCP-XXX is known for [DATA EXPUNGED] and is believed to be the one true [DATA EXPUNGED]. It is theorized it came from [DATA EXPUNGED],[DATA EXPUNGED] in the year [DATA EXPUNGED].
The figure [DATA EXPUNGED] and [DATA EXPUNGED] with [DATA EXPUNGED] and a tuba. Do not under any circumstances [DATA EXPUNGED] it's [DATA EXPUNGED] or you may initiate a [DATA EXPUNGED]. It can affect others around it similar to [DATA EXPUNGED] and [DATA EXPUNGED]'s your [DATA EXPUNGED] up the [DATA EXPUNGED].
It is also found in [DATA EXPUNGED] with [DATA EXPUNGED] and [DATA EXPUNGED]ing a donkey.
(This is quite possibly the best SCP ever!)

I think it is rather [DATA EXPUNGED] ███████ ██ maybe you should add more [sp]Cowbell[/sp].
"Sir, the cafeteria has caught fire. But don't worry, the sprinklers will fix it in a-"
"Nonsense! Send in the D-Class! Make sure they are dressed from head to toe in gasoline soaked paper! Tell them to extinguish it with their faces!"

It's description of "artifacts", and their containment procedures.
Image that the goal of each author is to accurately and pseudo-scientifically describe each item/person/anomaly. It's sort of like an encyclopedia of weird shit.
