http://scpcb.wordpress.com/ SCP: Containment Breach Alpha is out now!
So every time I open this up it stays on for about 3 seconds before crashing. anyone else having this problem?
So every time I open this up it stays on for about 3 seconds before crashing. anyone else having this problem?
I haven't had it that bad, but I have noticed how incredibly buggy the game is. I can't save at all, and I can't leave the screen without it crashing, but if I try playing through normally then usually I do fine. Also, does anyone else have it where you press Y and it teleports you to the big refining machine SCP? 914, I think it is

I want to see a livestream of this right now. I am too much of a pussy to even consider playing this.
We need a list of possible results from putting other SCPs into SCP-914.
We need a list of possible results from putting other SCPs into SCP-914.
And risk killing the SCP or making it even more dangerous? It isn't going to happen.
And risk killing the SCP or making it even more dangerous? It isn't going to happen.
Which is why I said possible, not actual. A what-if list, I meant.
My favorite SCP is http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-682, I always imagine his voice as a posh English gentleman because of his intelligence.

Isn't there already a recording of his voice on that page? EDIT: This is my new favorite. Can somebody give me a descending list of the most mind-fucking, horrifying SCPs? I found 993, 173 and 106 fucking terrifying.

Wait, if 173 can't move when on camera... why not just record him with your mobile phone? then you're invincible
173 was written ages ago and is the first SCP, looking too far into it of course you are going to find 1 million fallibilities in the concept, it's only the proceeding SCPs that went into massive detail explaining why X and Y didn't. They could beef up 173's article with a dozen contingencies but tbh it's better just keeping it as it is. That said, is it confirmed that cameras stop it? I remember one/two instances that might contradict that
A part of me wants to believe he sounds like the irishman in darkness 2
What Irish guy?
To be honest, I find 173 and 682 to look more like gimmicks than actual, serious SCPs. 682 is just about 'hur hur, look at me i am invinsobil and i kil peapel!' and 173 is entirely about 'u luk awey u dye'. I wish 666-J would get that damn 682-containing-truck already.
That guy's pretty good. I don't often see anything SCP related on youtube- until that garry's mod 173 thing and the staircase maps.

Would they actively pick someone who hated an SCP? They seem to discourage that to an almost religious extent
Would they actively pick someone who hated an SCP? They seem to discourage that to an almost religious extent
I figured that if the purpose of the experiment was to see if 173 could be aggrieved, they would use someone who's got a lot to say about it.
Aaahhhhh fffuuuuucccckkk that is the worst thing ever
I figured that if the purpose of the experiment was to see if 173 could be aggrieved, they would use someone who's got a lot to say about it.
The purpose of the test is to aggrieve 173? It's not apparent if 173 would even understand communication from anyone, and if it can, it hasn't responded to it, verbal or non-verbal, prior to this test, so there's no indication that this test would be worth O5's time and resources. They would deny it in a heartbeat. IF 173 could understand communication and be aggrieved, then the test is an unnecessary risk for the foundation, if it would get prevoked and breach containment, or do something we didn't know it could. It's euclid for a reason, it just isn't sensible. Furthermore, it isn't explained why the window malfunctioned, and that just stands out for me. It just seems like a bad plot device to get the D-class killed. If it's caused by 173, then it's not really apparent.
http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-1364 ^ Ultra vulnerable mammal
It's like the opposite of 682.
http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-1364 ^ Ultra vulnerable mammal
682 + 682 = 1364 heh
