Here's another crappy SCP:
Christ, these are gold.
"you know about our other contained SCPs that is interesting!" said the doctor, moments before admitting love to the bock and ejaculating in it's pages. SCP terminated, Doctor given the best person ever award and a million blowjobs.
That's the only thing that's killing you?
Dr J█████ S███: can we kill SCP-682?
SCP-1139: Yes.
Dr J█████ S███: How?
SCP-1139: Now now, that would be cheating I can't just tell you that would spoil the fun of you discovering!
In the first 600 SCPs, of the approximately twenty articles in which 682 is mentioned, at least half of said mentions are simply to:
- Reinforce the notion that 682 is better than everything else.
- Show that 682 is buddies with other hostile SCPs.
- Give impossible commands to SCPs like the coffee and vending machines, God, and the butler.
The first two become completely unnecessary should 682 be deleted. The third, however, would require replacement with other impossible tasks which benefit the foundation.
I think the following should do :
- Remember SCP-055.
- Find out where Mr. Deeds goes.
- Effective cooling systems for the infinite computer.
- Containment of intangible SCPs, including 423, 990, and 723, or SCPs that are difficult to contain.

There's probably way more problems the foundation has to deal with than destroying 682.

But 682 is one of the most prominent, well known, original SCPs. Not to mention that it was written by Bright. Of course everyone is going reference the shit out of it. Its pretty much ingrained into the Foundation by now, like it or not.

682 wasn't fucking written by Bright why do people keep saying that

I'm not sure if I'd call 682 "original", unless it's in comparison to the way all the other SCPs intelligently deconstruct traditional tropes to create a lasting and memorable effect on the reader
all I can say about 682 is that it's a lizard and I fucking hate it

I think he means it's a really old one. One of the first ones there was.
Tischlein deck dich is still great.
So, I'm trying really hard to remember a certain SCP, I can't remember it's number for the life of me.
It was a chocolate fountain, but it would make bugs, and spiders come out of the top, by the millions.

Oh! I know the one you're talking about! SCP-743!
I got an idea about SCP-001 the other day and just remembered it now. Probably already mentioned pages ago though.
Maybe the reason the actual one is kept a secret is because since it is the first one and had to be contained by a Foundation that was starting out, it's so mundane and embarrassingly boring that it's better off being kept a secret.

If it's mundane and boring, shouldn't it be classified as -EX?
"Obviously SCP-001 is like, humanity its self dude, cause, like, were the worst monsters of all, destroying nature, telling people what to do with our corporations and stuff! 682 is like nothing compared to man!"

(I tried to make a joke, im sorry)
SCP-001 is SCP-001. Ultimate recursion. Anything even slightly involved in it ends up in recursion. Any sane mind would go insane in seconds.

I'm sorry, but I don't know what recursion means anymore.
682 wasn't fucking written by Bright why do people keep saying that
I heard it numerous times so I just assumed it to be true, excuse my lack of research.
Are there any SCPs based off of Ted's Cave Story?
I believe Gears wrote 682.

interesting. so the basic idea is, there's something that, when brought into contact with something else, results in that something else being repeated indefinitely? are we talking about the affected object having the image of itself within itself within itself and so forth? sounds pretty good.

it's basically when something happens again and again. so your parents would be your ancestors, and their parents would be their ancestors, and so forth. it can also be when this happens:

Ah. I guess it would sort of make sense that any attempt to explain the foundation from the ground up would eventually require some self-referential statement.

Wrote another new scp.
All known instances of SCP-1317 are to be housed in Vault 13 of Site 77's Safe SCP wing.
I see what you did there.

Glad somebody did
Has anyone ever thought of making an SCP Foundation texture pack for Minecraft? The Painterly pack already has SCP Files as a skin and SCP-173 as a skin for Enderman.

Waffles on our SCP Minecraft server is working on one, but it's kind of a simpler thing than a BIG OL SRS pack.

Enderman should be 096 instead, it makes more sense and it'd fit much better on the model

Is there still a thread on it? I think the IP changed a while back.

Unfortunately, we know less about what the Shy Guy looks like than what 173 looks like
