To be fair, it was anomalous pasta. Always gotta watch out for that pasta.
Sometimes they're a joke, sometimes not. Like in [url=http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-096]Incident-096-1-A.[/url] And you do have a point about the anomalous pasta, it's amazing how much more dangerous an item becomes when you add "anomalous" to it.

Wow, reading Incident 096-1-A, I have to say the researchers are practically the joke. I mean good god they knew this thing has a ridiculous, paranormal ability to sense whether something had seen its face, and yet they decided "Oh well, we might as well let them see the image for a split second on the SCRAMBLE gear because our facial recognition technology isn't fast enough." I mean couldn't they have compensated with a lower framerate or something? Or at least tested it out on some d-class?
I can easily see a way the SCRAMBLE system would've worked, just delay the image being fed to the viewer by long enough for the system to detect and remove any image of the SCP's face, that eliminates any risk of looking at it, and considering that amount of time isn't even enough for the human brain to process the image it shouldn't impede vision any.
What would happen if they put someone on the Moon or in orbit or something and had them look at a picture of 096?

Jump scare didn't get me, but it was very disturbing. It's a pretty good, unsettling SCP.
One of the comments in the SCP really hits the nail on the head

What I like about that SCP is the way the addendums are written makes it feel like the thing is breaching containment as you read it. I love the type of SCP where as you get deeper into the addendums it suddenly looks like a whole different thing. Also my very limited Russian tells me that шахматы means chess.
